Cleaning out my art files and stumbling across my trek OCs
First two are sisters. Mother was a Klingon with various tastes in men.
Older sister is half Orion, younger sister is half Ferengi. They are both the most feared pirates in the quadrant.
Second is a DNA test tube baby. Created from the remnant material left over from the planet Cheron. He was raised in Starfleet and didn’t necessarily join it.
hello everyone. ummm. my star trek ocs. the crew of the uss hawking (shitty ship that gets put on all the worst missions and gets all the leftover people)......... character descs under cut.....
(lined up in very top image from left to right)
Ensign Morris (he/him, Chief Engineer... somehow) - an amicable old human man who has somehow never been promoted to senior officer ranks despite having been in starfleet for almost his entire adult life. charming and playful, likely the easiest to make friends with on board. unfortunately not great to work with, yet, somehow, knows at least one person on every federation planet. he fucks somehow
Lt. Cdr. Dakail (he/they, Chief of Security) - a gentle and soft-spoken bajoran. a little bit too chill considering what they get into. just here to have a good time most of the time and if the good times aren't coming he will be a little miffed about it. probably the most normal person on board unless you look closer he's a little bit of a freak
Cpt. Karal (he/him) - a cardassian man, middle-aged, rather distant. Has a bit of an ego problem, but not related to being Cardassian in the slightest. seems to want to push away any Cardassian association entirely (for some mysterious reason!). strict, a connoisseur of the arts, slightly frustrated with his post.
Cmdr. Wollenbach (she/her, 1st officer) - a human woman who rose through the ranks through hard work and her friendly attitude. appears a little too friendly at times to the point where it seems fake. definitely not a Changeling who has been impersonating a dead woman for the past few years. Don't worry about it
Lt. Cdr. T'Sik (she/her, CMO) - a vulcan woman who has been working with starfleet since forever, lowkey ptsd'd to hell and back but won't let that bother her. she just wants to do her job. unfortunately her fellow officers are all kind of a little annoying. a bit of a gossip. don't tell anyone
Lt. Nul (she/her, Science officer/Nurse (eventually)) - an ambitious young woman, one of the first Ferengi women to join starfleet. constantly on edge and despite everything holds on to a lot of ferengi culture which makes it a little awkward for her sometimes. mischievous & even goal-driven when it comes down to it. failgirl numero uno
there's more people on the ship i haven't given much thought to but this is all i got rihgt now. enjoy... and here is one last secret thing if you read this whole post
okay so the thing i didnt tell you is that they're actually revamps of my 10 year old tng ocs except i changed their species and snapped one of them out of existence bc i didnt know what to do with them. if you are a real lt. cmdr. 10 fan let me know i will bring them back . #TENHEADS
Just some ocs stop for the Starfleet Academy Roleplay below.
Name: Savel
Age: 18
Gender: Trans Male
Species: Half Vulcan Half Human
Physical Traits: Black curly hair at an attempt of a Vulcan undercut, dark eyes, tanned skin. He’s 5'4 and he’s thin and toned.
Interests: He’s on the command track since day one, he likes learning in general but he’s partial to History, Xenoanthropology, Diplomacy, Combat Training, and Literature and Arts
Backstory: Savel was born and raised in a Starfleet science vessel to the Vulcan first officer and the human Chief of Engineering. He has an older brother, and in general, Savel is very close to his family. Being raised outside from Vulcan, his mother was more relaxed with his upbringing- Savel follows Surak’s principles to the best of his abilities, but he also aims for the values of Starfleet of tolerance and exploration. Living onboard a ship with such a diverse crew gives him an outlook that not a lot of Vulcans have, and he lacks the prejudice against his human half and emotions because his parents cared enough to teach him self-acceptance. They were good parents, if a bit overprotective. Ever since he was a child, Savel’s one goal in life has always been to become a captain, and he’s been preparing for it. What he lacks in height he makes up in enthusiasm and enough determination to power a warp core. He started transition fairly recently, and while he has to wait another year to be able to get Top Surgery, he’s confident in his gender and identity. You’d think he’d be the Vulcan freshman who has a trouble relaxing and letting go, but the truth is that Savel’s the kid with parents who never let him do anything fun, and wants to try everything now that he has the freedom. He’s one huge mess by Vulcan standards, having ADHD and being an empath who’s got problems shielding sometimes, but he’s here to make it to that captain chair, and nothing short of death will stop him.
YE my cmo is a vulcan w/ oculocutaneous albinism!! and like i’m assuming future science has like advanced treatments for any vision problems he may experience but like….. a vulcan w glasses? cute as hell???? i love glasses so i’m biased
ok so he’s 5'10" and has…. a bowl cut… gay and married to an artist back on vulcan. wanted to be a vet as a kid/adolescent but at some point switched focus to people medicine, still loves animals tho and basically serves as unofficial ships vet for any minor injuries or health problems the crews pets may have.
“doc, my kitty hurt her paw….. can u fix it……….”
“ensign, you know i am not a veterinarian.”
“doc please…. it’s hurting her……. look at her she’s so sad. look at that sad little face.”
*small sigh* “yes, fine, i will examine the feline.”
(he pretends not to care but he always ends up helping)
has a bland, soothing bedside manner, much less sarcastic and subtly rude than most canon vulcans we’ve seen. honestly just a huge softy? seems like the actual most boring person on the planet until u realize he cares a lot and is just a soft dorky dude trying to keep his crew safe and healthy. loves sweaters. GOD ok he wears glasses it’s canon. he’s like a middle aged glasses wearing vulcan with a substantial Tummy who loves to wear sweaters and sit down with a book and some vulcan tea and chill. his husband sends him doodles/sketches all the time and he saves all of them and some of his favorites are hanging on the walls of his quarters
some trek oc posting!! mostly dr. t'sik... also featuring ensign morris (human) & lt. nul (ferengi). Some elaboration on her under the cut....
Ok so the first thing you need to know about T'Sik is her head gets wider every time i draw her
The second thing you need to know about her is she is having the least severe vulcan identity crisis. My main idea for her character was someone who, while being perfectly able to fit into their society's ideals of what they should be, just cannot feel comfortable in it. She's always felt more at ease interacting with aliens or Vulcans who didn't go through with the Kolinahr, in spite of her being successful in that aspect. She's great at medicinal science. She's also pretty good at being a wife (so her parents say)! But once she's expected to 'finish' her duty as a woman in Vulcan society and become a mother, she kind of just runs off and joins Starfleet.
In that sense, she connects with a freshly-graduated (she assumes) human (she assumes) ensign, who was also a rebel in the sense he was more Curzon than Ezri Dax, a chaotic rogue with ambiguous feelings towards the society he was raised in. They serve together on their first ship for a while before T'Sik is promoted and transferred from ship to ship. She feels appreciated for a while, but she eventually has to admit that the feeling fades.
The people she's always gotten along with more simply aren't the people she really wants praise from. She longs for the people she grew up alongside, the people she was raised by.
It doesn't matter, so she ignores the feeling. She keeps being distracted at work. She gets sloppier. The people grow more distant in her mind. Years pass. Decades pass. She's not exceptional anymore, she's just decent.
She gets transferred to the ship where everyone who's just decent goes: the USS Hawking, patrolling the middle of nowhere.
The people are strange, but familiar. Too familiar — a friendly face greets her, and suddenly she's freshly 40 again. Ensign Morris treats her just the same as back then. It's strange. She doesn't quite know what to do with herself. More time passes.
Her new captain, a cardassian man named Karal, brings new people aboard, one of which is a young ferengi woman named Nul. Unfortunately for T'Sik, she's seen the story of a young woman running away from home into the arms of Starfleet before.
...Which starts us off with the (imaginary) S1, where T'Sik has to navigate a new Captain and a new apprentice who reminds her a bit too much of herself (she will be a bit cold to her at first). And maybe also properly re-befriend her former weird mysterious rebel colleague who never got promoted too.
last doodle was just me having fun but imagine an episode where they're the only ones awake on the ship while everyone's asleep or something and they're forced to develop..... etc
as for morris & t'sik they're kinda weird sarcastic sorta-friends they hook up at one point and it sucks really bad. t'sik's ex husband felt a disturbance in the force (wrong franchise) the day it happened and stuff. Idk i haven't thought about him at All. that's like a s4 episode to me
& also i Forgot to adjust uniforms for time period in the first doodle but my in canon explanation for the voyager era ones (this whole thing would be a bit after the dominion war) is that the ship just never got replicator patterns for the new uniforms. Yup
anyways if you read this whole thing ur a real one & Thank you........ turns into a cloud and floats away......
