The singular James Kirk is sometimes more icon than character. But, there may be a theme to Kirk's life and it may be that, one way or the other, Jim is a family man. Watch this video for all things Kirk!

Jesus Christ, I super disagree with pretty much everything in the new Trekspertise video, but I don't think it's worth it trying to rebut any of it. If you're already that convinced that Lower Decks is literally worthless, I kinda doubt you'll listen to my arguments in good faith. The one thing I do want definitely want to say though is if you think Mariner, one of our very few black protagonists (and one who clearly has PTSD that is shown in the narrative as being something she has to and is dealing with to avoid harming herself and others), is "uniquely violent" among Trek characters, I'd REALLY urge to consider why exactly you think that

Trekspertise once again...
Trekspertise, are you really using tos as your example for why space racism shouldn't be a thing in Trek unless it's being specifically criticized by the narrative? I mean, yes, you're right that it's shitty that Mariner says "all Klingon names sound the same" and what's his face calls T'ana a "cat in a coat," and I very much wish Lower Decks didn't do those things, but you CANNOT condemn them while celebrating Leonard "Space Racism" McCoy
With Star Trek, we often think of aliens, starships, and a future in which humanity thrives. But what about terrorism? Does it still exist? Oh, yes. Turns out Trek has MUCH to say about the topic of terrorism. Support the channel on Patreon ► http://bit.ly/2z9vFbS

SPOILERS! AVERT YOUR EYES! Finally! Our END-OF-SEASON REVIEW for Star Trek: Discovery’s season 2. Love, heartache, disappointment, triumph...it's all here!
Our review for the second round of Short Treks from CBS, "The Brightest Star" and "The Escape Artist". There is, surprisingly, quite a bit to chew on in terms of the Prime Directive and Federation Economics. And a little bit of speculation for season 2, as well (some of that speculation has come to pass with current episodes of Discovery season 2). You are missing out main bread and butter essays, you will not have to wait too long. We've got a great on in the edit bay now. But before that is released, we will be doing a small, quick-n-dirty mid-season review for Discovery's second season. Look for those videos as soon as the next two weeks.
