I need to ask, your characters armor for skyrim.. is it modded? are there specific mods you've used?

To Breathe || Skyrim AU

The winter's biting chill in Skyrim was drastically different from the heat of the Summerset Isles, though Loki would be lying if he said he didn't like it. He'd always found his homeland to be unbearably warm, which was strange to someone like him. Was he not supposed to enjoy the heat and loathe the cold?

It mattered not. Time and time again he questioned himself on this and time and time again he came up clueless and reverted to asking himself other questions to pass the time during his travels. Typically, it worked.

For this journey, he was scaling through the mountains struggling to find a cave a local Jarl had claimed was filled with bandits of some sort, or possibly vampires for all he knew. Loki'd offered to clear it out for him and had set off almost immediately in hopes of getting it done and over with as quickly as humanely possible so he could maybe enjoy some leisure in the town. Unfortunately, he'd managed to get lost among the tall pines scaling the mountainside and it likely did not help that it was nightfall and the surrounding area was only lit up by the moons and constellations above. He'd be lucky if the Aurora Lights popped up, though luck was rarely on his side.

With a huff of frustration, the breath fogging out before him, Loki settled to give up for the night and resume his travels when the sun had risen. He had to scale about the mountain in order to find as flat of a surface that was safe enough to sleep on before he plopped down into the soft snow and began to look about him with curious eyes. Eventually, he'd make a fire and cook a meal up for himself, but for now he was going to enjoy the freezing breeze on his neck, the kind that normally would coax up goosepimples, but on the elf it did nothing at all but send pleasant tingles throughout his body that seemingly relieved all the tension from his sore muscles.

Mmm, this weather was so lovely.

Lonely Hearts Freeze. [tremblingskies]

Typically, Loki is very good at finding a bed to steal for the night. Whether it's through seduction or pity, he can usually go home with a stranger, or one of the stale 'friends' he's made living around the same people for months. But sometimes, when it's been storming all day and the tempest has hit its peak in the middle of the night, no one's biting, and Loki's left alone in the downpour. Loki doesn't often miss home, but he sometimes misses a roof. Sturdy walls that supply more protection than his clothes, pantries that were always full, and a warm bed.

Cigarettes. Loki could always get cigarettes. He can feel his fingers shake from the lack of them, though he's not sure if it's that or the chill that the rain gave him.

Either way, he sat against the brick wall of the alley between an abandoned factory and closed department store, where at least he can shelter himself from the worst of the winds. Where he can tuck his head into his long legs and fold into himself, focusing on the way his body shivered and how he could mentally stop it if he concentrated hard enough. With the sound of the winds and rain surrounding him, he sat oblivious to any oncoming someone.
