Madagascar Green-Pigeon (Treron australis)

Large pale green pigeon, both sexes have black wings and a pale wing stripe. Males are a bright yellow-green, while females are a duller tea green. Endemic to Madagascar, hence the name. Can be found in dry forest, rainforest, villages, and scrub. Sometimes found alone, but usually in small groups. Has a variety of calls, the most common is a series of quiet but maniacal whistles, sputters, and cackles.
