At his next ( RUDE ASS INVASION ) visit of the Ramshakle, he would notice that his usual go to spot to claim on the couch was this time occupied by a specific familiar figure. The tabby cat mother that he had an encounter with not so long ago, was pacefully napping on the said couch, a spot she seemed to take a particular fondness for. The kittens lying next to her purring with a sense of safety and comfort. Around the living room, there were several cat toys spread around, clearly, someone forgot to tidy things up and just rushed out leaving a little mess behind. Yet the row of bowls of food and water for the tabby mother was full and fresh.
The next moment after a long yawn and a stretch of her paws, the tabby mother's ears perk up in an alert when she senses the presence of someone near her and her kittens. She glances at Leona, with the exact same stare as the first time they met, however, this time around that glare melts down into a normal acknowledgment faster than one would think, as she starts to clean herself next without minding him at all. Perhaps the feline might express a subtle gratitude of him bringing them under this new roof to be cared for. //what if Leona has a new friend now
He takes his time going back to Ramshackle, even purposely avoiding Dana after his 'delivery' last time. He was 95% certain she wouldn't kick out the cat and her litter. Though with Grim and her own unexpected visitors to account for, Leona could see a chance of her relocating them if her hands were full.
When he does drop by, it's during a time he knows Dana is out, having gotten intel from Ruggie in exchange for a week off his chores. As he slips into the dorm, the silence surprises him, used to some sort of chaos awaiting him when he'd find his way here.
Entering the main room, the reason for the peace greets him in the form of the snoozing kittens and mother. The family seemed to be perfectly content, the tabby certainly looking much less scraggly and unkempt. The kittens also looked healthy, Leona amused to see how big they'd already gotten. He could only imagine how chaotic it'd get once they'd wake up. "Made yourselves at home huh," he mutters more so to himself, a mix of surprise and relief at seeing they'd settled into living indoors quite nicely. Then again, this place was pretty relaxing. One of the key reasons he'd break back in even under threat from a certain herbivore.
The tabby stirs from her sleep, her gaze falling onto him with that same stern look from before. Just as he makes to look away and step back, she's first to drop her gaze, busying herself with some grooming instead of threatening him. His lips quirk, close to a smile before his gaze is drawn to a nearby toy mouse.
"Tch, what a softie," he muses as he takes in the rest of the room, noticing the plethora of toys and food available to them. The housewarden feels assured they'd be just fine here, though perhaps getting Ruggie to leave some extra bags of food wouldn't hurt...
For now, he merely walks over to the rocking chair in the room, making no further effort to bother the cat, lest the kittens wake up from their nap and interrupt her break. The tabby seems to appreciate this, her gaze following him momentarily before returning to her grooming as he sinks into the chair with a silent yawn.
By the time Dana would come home, she'd find him still snoozing in the chair, oblivious to the kittens as they played around the room while the mother watched over them. Well so much for making Ramshackle more housewarden-proof~
