My next video explain the sacred landscape of the Norse and the various funerary monuments they left for us to see today in Sweden. This artwork by @artofryanmurray depicts a treudd which are found in numerous iron age grave fields in central Sweden. They often have remains of a post or even a tree stump at their centre so there is a theory that they were ritual enclosures symbolising the roots of the world tree and a place where sacrifices could be offered in the presence of ancient barrows which were viewed as portals to the other world.
