Tri-Met WES finally tests their newly acquired RDC's bought from Alaska Railroad about a year ago to add to their 3 DMU cars for backup purposes. Ex-Alaska 711 and 702 now Tri-Met 1711 and 1702 are seen departing the Beaverton Transit Center headed back to Wilsonville. December 18, 2010

Looking into the front cab of TriMet's new WES DMUs. Off to the right is a southbound WES train about to depart. Behind our train you can see the gauntlet track that allows the WES trains to get close enough to the platform for level boarding while allowing the freight trains that also use this line to slip by the station. Tri-Met's New WES commuter trains finish their Last week of Testing before they Open on FEB 2nd. The trains will take commuters between Wilsonville and Beaverton Transit Center (BTC) with stops at Tualatin, Tigard and Hall/Nimbus during morning and evening Rush Hours. 2001 and 1001 are seen here creeping through Downtown Beaverton where it runs down the street out of BTC.
