Yes, this is a real one-squad method for anyone who is low-level and doesn’t have the cost for two teams - you can do this with a free (Global) leader.
Finally the face-off with the faceless Lucius. He bags the skills of all the gods he’s absorbed. Overall a very satisfactory and uplifting fight as you reach the end, and the music changes. So far you will need minimum 2 good teams to clear the trial.
One Battle, Three Forms in total with the serious fights around Forms 1 and 2. Conservation of items / revives in Form 1 will aid you towards Form 2. Do use the HP Marker tool to guide you through the thresholds identification.
Form 1: Observations & Tips
Overall fight has significantly reduced BC/HC drop-rate.
1st Turn: Endless Massive Light / Dark AOE.
75% HP: Endless Massive Light / Dark AOE.
50% HP: Endless Massive Light / Dark AOE.
40% HP: Lucius does nothing for 1Turn. Use all BB/SBB/UBB or be wiped.
25 - 40% HP: Deals all sorts of ailments.
25% HP: Endless Massive Light / Dark AOE. Strongest Endless, and wipe team 2Turns after.
10% HP: Instant kill 1 unit.
< 5% HP: Wipe team.
TIP: DEF Buff, BC Fill+, BB Gauge reduction, BB Fill on ATKed, BB Fill by turn(s), BB Fill on Spark skills and heals are vital.
TIP: Defend Dark / Light unit during Endless.
TIP: Nulls Ailments is very useful going thru 40% HP.
TIP: Kill fast, UBB from > 40% or from > 25% and take him down fast.
Form 2: Observations & Tips
Your team from Form 1, will be wiped on entry. Possible NOT Tested survival method: Double Iris / Balgran leaders, defending most units.
ALERT: Do not use UBB in form 2. Instant wipe.
Counting turns from Form 1: Every 5 turns, Lucius debuff and deals massive dmg to 1 unit. (Highest HP and Lowest HP are often targetted. But generally random.) Defend to survive.
70% HP: Same as above.
38% HP: Same as above.
RANDOM: DoT (DMG Over Time). You will need a HoT (Heal Over Time) unit.
RANDOM: Lucius will clear all BB gauges, has 100% mitigation, and massively reduce BC/HC droprate. Normal attacking with all 6 units on first turn, and using 3 or more BB gauges seem to clear the effect.
< 25% HP: Lucius will cast shield to reduce damage. If shield is cast on the same turn-count 5th turn, the massive dmg to 1 unit will occur 1 turn later. Count again from then.
TIP: Bring units that has a good HoT on BB, not SBB. Keep HoT going through the fight.
TIP: Instant BB Fillers, BB Fill when ATKed and BB Gauge reduction skills are very effectively especially on BB not SBB.
TIP: Swap spheres around so your mitigator is not the lowest or highest HP unit in the squad.
TIP: Units with high BB dmg are preferred.
TIP: Flash healing, mitigation and DEF buff are useful.

Mitigate and pay attention to your OverDrive gauge.
