Ever since pandemic started, most of us got drawn to the Hallyu wave as we started binging Kdramas to pass the time. These Kdramas that we have grown to love not only gave us entertainment and hope during these times but also got us immersed in their culture and lifestyle. It was no surprise that we also tend to imitate their local delicacies to satisfy our Korean food cravings.
One of my friends come up with a new food business during this pandemic and I was also supportive because Kimigiri was able to produce one of the famous Korean food/ snack that we seldom see on are screens while watching Kdrama. Kimigiri’s primary product is the triangular kimbap also known as Samgak-gimbap. It is a triangular shaped gimbap which is designed to keep the seaweed fresh by putting it between 2 thin sheets of plastic.
Kimigiri actually has three flavors for fillings: tapa’rap, tuna and daebak kimchi. Daebak Kimchi is my personal favorite.
Not long after, Kimigiri launched new set of packaging and premium flavors for their triangular kimbap: Cheesy bacon, chicken katsu and kani salad. In this set, chicken katsu was my favorite.
The good thing about Kimigiri is that they keep on reinventing and presenting kimbap and onigiri every time. So you will be up to try everything. I also tried their kimbap rolls.
Their newest product is the Spam Musubi which I also really love. Their houseblend iced tea is really great too.
I swear this is the best thing while watching a Kdrama. Para ramdam na ramdam natin ang pagiging Koreana. Hahahaha ganito na yung linamon ng sistema.
