About The Founders, Tribeoftrolls, has been playing since vanilla, and MinstrelofMyths has been playing since the ending stretch of the Lich king. We’ve been friends for much longer. Both of us are laid back, friendly, easy going, and at times with really busy real lives. We came to the WRA server when our original rp server dwindled in populace, and many of the long going guilds left or disbanded. After being on WRA for some time we discovered a pattern with how different rp guilds function daily, how they sometimes fall apart, or disband, the same way that we had seen before. We eventually during the beginnings of MOP decided to make our own guild, wanting a stable place where we could be causal without pressures that come with an overly active guild. We started the guild because we wanted a friendly relaxed atmosphere, where there was no pressure to be one way or another, or mandatory anything. A guild being a source of entertainment and a fun relaxing place to come to.
The Tribe ICly; The name Sul'tusk derives from the Zandali term Sul- meaning Lash, Lash Tusk is a title that was given to ( Jin of the tribe ) Raji'din. Raji'din has one living son, the heir of the tribe, Ren'nari. They made allies, did business and trade with the Horde, and are officially apart of the Horde on an individual basis. They accepted and took in those without tribe ( fon’s ) and those looking for a place to be but did not fit in with any affiliation. The two gave those individuals without a place to be, a place to be regardless of their background. Raji'din and Ren'nari, offered and continues to offer those looking for it the opportunity to pursue their individual endeavors, with a security they would not be harassed by others. As well as offering those that were already from established tribes such as the Darkspear, and other communities the opportunity of friendship, alliances, associations on business such as trade, or aid in the battle field, even as far as menial tasks there are those that are happy to assist to an extent.
The Tribe OOCly; A social casual rp guild, all races are welcome. There is no main story line other then the background and nature in which the guild was established allowing individuals to branch out on their own. There are different ranks for those that want to be apart of the tribe that assist in the function, and those that just want associate with the tribe such as an emissary of another race. All this including rules are covered on our web site http://sultusk.shivtr.com/ They’re pretty common sense. Our guild is a place where there is a lack of drama, common courtesy and respect towards individuals are top priority, a place where everyone can feel welcomed and at ease when it comes to their game time entertainment. To give everyone an opportunity to rp everywhere and anywhere without certain stipulations and guild pressures put upon the player to conform to.
What we do | What we don’t do:
In Character verses Out of Character; We keep IC, IC, and OOC, OOC, period. It is commonly forgotten rule of thumb that always needs to be reiterated to point out it’s importance to be maintained.
Meetings, Events, Alliances; We don’t have mandatory guild meetings, we don’t host large events. We do attend on occasion when our schedules permit other guild events, to support, and boost the attendance within the community of rp. We will post up links and pass the word around on to other guilds that we associate with if there is a hosted event, and we will even attend at times but nothing is mandatory. When we advertise an event it is posted and reblogged here http://sultusktribe.tumblr.com/. We will not attend mandatory dictated meetings with other guilds, it should never be expected. We do make allied relations with other guilds from time to time, to aid them in needed materials, or to buy surplus off one another, and to rp with.
Warring with other guilds; We don’t support guild wars, or anything that would cause strife within the community especially without consent of the other guilds involved. We are not a militant guild, although we do not harass those who choose to do so. We’ll interact on ic basis, and even aid in a story line cause, although that is greatly dependent on circumstance, cause related, and if it is decided we should or not. Seriously, to each their own when it comes to guild structure, storyline and events. We are always bolstering the positive within the community, and we have no problems with how any other guild is ran, or what their rules are. It may not mesh with our system but that is okay, nothing prevents rp interaction from taking place from time to time. We’re essentially here for entertainment purposes, to have fun, to relax after a long day of real life responsibilities.
Recruiting; We do not actively recruit. We never advertise in any channels that we are recruiting, nor do we simply seek out any of those that are guildless. We never go looking for those already in a guild, as we are respectful of other guilds. We don’t spam lowbies with invites, nor do we automatically invite anyone without a guild. We don’t react well to pressure from those that rush in just wanting to join a guild for perks. There are reasons for the selection processes, it’s to see if the individual wishes rp with us, to find out that they are a good fit, there is a desire to actually rp and not just using our guild as an alt storage, and many other reasons. It’s relatively easy to get in the guild however, rp frequently ( meaning once a week or every so often ), rp with us enough that we get to know the character icly, whisper us to gain rule information, because some characters like individuals do not mesh with our guild and our processes. That’s okay too, it doesn’t mean we don’t have to interact.
Lore; We love the lore of the game and implore those that want to rp to do research, and we will help to some extent with it. Mostly it is up to the player and what they do with their own character development, and as far the consequences from the community that come with it if they do so unwisely, it is all on them the responsibility. We can guide in the right direction but as far as the character as it is represented to the public by the individual, that is on the player, it’s not a reflection upon the guild itself. Everyone starts somewhere when it comes to rping, we will help but also to allow someone to take their own chances, and to allow one to learn through their own mistakes and successes.
Where we rp; We don’t claim an area that we most frequent. We always practice common courtesy and respect of a location as a free for all place to be. For instance many of us usually gather in Org in a place we call the Troll Tree, because it’s one of the best places to get rp. It’s where we talk, hang out, and just rp to have fun, anyone and everyone is welcomed to join in, and or walk up. If it gets busy we do at times depart, or if we see a guild recruiting in the area already there before we arrive, we give them space and find somewhere else to park it. We won’t harass, or bother those doing the same thing we do and want to do. We enjoy walk ups, that is why we are in the city. We enjoy the variety of characters, and behaviors, and topics that arise in conversation. We have fun and wish to include everyone inside and outside the guild that wishes to join in. As a guild we regularly can be found traversing just everywhere, not only in that one location. I just used Troll Tree as an example as it is the most frequent spot to find any number of us at any given time. Feel free to stop on by, if you see us there, or anywhere to rp.
So there everyone has it, this is pretty much the surmise of our guild and what it represents. I really hope it answers most of the questions, and clears up any confusion there might be when it comes to our guild. If anyone has any other questions that have not been addressed here please feel free to send me an ask here on tumblr.
