this illegal little thing is Trichoniscus pygmaeus. scuttling at an impressive 2mm long, they're a very noticeable contrast from some of the massive isopods we get out here, but despite their size and adventurous nature these guys aren't built for speed, so they're not as hard to photograph as they might seem - give me one of these over a panicky porcellionid any day
