Pet peeve is seeing people that enjoy Loki series have a go at people for not enjoying Loki series and acting like we’re crazy and just don’t get it. No. The reason so many of us don’t enjoy Loki series is because it has problems. And for a lot of people, myself included, they are enough to ruin the show. And it goes far, far deeper than just being upset that he simply isn’t having a crisis anymore and has friends (spoiler alert: that is what me, and so many other people WANT for him. We are allowed to be disappointed and upset with the execution.)

I am so happy for you if you enjoy Loki series. I’m so unbelievably glad that the show is something that you can hold close to your heart and cherish. I am so, so happy that you can get so much enjoyment out of the show, and I hope you continue to do so. Hell, even with the many flaws and issues I have with it, there are still moments and aspects I wholeheartedly enjoy.

But you do not get to act like the rest of us that don’t like it are insane, or being dramatic, or are just upset that he’s not sad, angsty and alone anymore. And you do not get to act like the rest of us are just bitter that Thor wasn’t involved. Because maybe that’s the issue for a few, but they are not the reason I and so many others do not like it. It would be stupid if it was.

I would like to officially introduce to you all, the Spellslinger!AU :)

No doubt I’ll make a proper pinned post for it at some point, but I figure here’s as good a place as any to start my yapping.

What is it? The Spellslinger!AU (or Spell!AU for short) is a massive Marvel au I’ve been working on for the past few years! It’s still under construction but I love it very much and want to start sharing what I’ve come up with.

It focuses on a mix of canon mcu characters, ocs that belong to me and my friends, as well as characters from other marvel media such as disconnected films and comics.

For instance, the titular “Spellslinger” the au is named after is my oc! That’s the name of her hero identity, her real name being Atlas Octavius. She’s also the one I’m going to be most likely elaborating on first with my next post!

The current planned out story goes from about Avengers 1 to about Spiderman Homecoming, with a few gaps in between I’ll be filling out along the way.

I’m not sure yet if I’m going to continue past infinity war/endgame (and the plot with those is going to be changed around as well), so no promises for anything beyond that point if it’s what you’re looking for unfortunately.

The endgame goal with this is to turn it into a series of fics, but my motivation is about as predictable as when you’re going to see a comet shoot past in the sky so we’ll see what happens.

This au has had a lot of changes over the past few years, but the core point of it has always been to make the avengers feel more like a family rather than just a team, as well as build and develop all of them. As more has changed, a lot of canon events have been messed around with as well, so there are some big surprises in store with the story :)

Especially with the current state of the mcu, this au has been a massive labour of love from me with the help of my friends, and I sincerely hope you’ll stick around and enjoy what it has to offer :)
