“Yeah! We met, uh… a few months ago now? I… technically live with her, she seems more than happy to share her space with me. I think.” And got antsy if he was gone for too long, or if he went to his actual home. He supposed he couldn’t blame her, he always did act strange when properly connected to the Masses, back there.
But he had to focus on here. Demi shook the thoughts out of his head, breathing a quiet breath in, then out. Everything was fine. This was a friend of Vivi’s, and she wasn’t the sort to befriend people that weren’t nice. Or… such was the impression he got off her.
“Oh - good. I was a bit worried I might… well.” He gestured at himself - a more-or-less normal outfit; hoodie over dark pants, with with the odd red tendrils just sort of ignoring the presence of the fabric like some weird sort of videogame rendering error. “I was worried I’d spook you.” He takes the offered hand, though, happily shaking it. “Arthur, huh… My name’s Akira. Or Demi. Both work. ‘Demi’ is uh… a weird story. So are the… red stuff. I’ll just say they’re a supernatural thing and leave it there, so we’re not here all day~”
“You live with her?” That was a little unexpected, but he supposed it was fair. Vivi was the kind to invite people if she felt they needed it. He was the same way. “That’s cool. She’s pretty chill about most things. Including magic aura thingies.” He chuckled to show he was joking, even with the gesture towards the tendrils of energy curling away from Demi’s form. Whatever he’d been talking about seemed to thread tension through should shoulders, but he he was just as sure that the guy wasn’t interested in talking about it. Not here for sure, with him. And he couldn't blame him. But if Vivi had him there, then it was likely for a reason. She had a good head on her shoulders, so he could probably trust the kid. And that whatever it was, there was a good reason Vivi would want to get him out of wherever he’d been. Like Mono and his cave for himself.
“Honestly?” Arthur rubbed at his neck. “That’s like-- not really in the top ten nowadays. Would’ve startled the crap out of me when I was younger, probably. But now it’s kinda a ‘must be a day ending in y’ type deal.” He laughed again, rolling his shoulder in a shrug. “But yeah. It’s good to meet you Demi. Don’t worry about explaining anything, alright? It’s your business until you wanna share it. I can’t deny I”m curious, but it’s still up to you what you share.
“Speaking of, though.” Arthur moved to lean against the desk, crossing his arms in a casual fold. “Now you’ve got me curious. I haven’t heard anything myself, so I’m curious: anything special Vi’s told you? I hope it’s the good stuff.” He quirked a smile.
