So usually for my Birthday i share something I've been working on (mostly arthur and now artair the last 10 years lol). I decided this year to try and finish my new rp blog for my OCs!

I'm very proud I managed to finish at least a foundational amount on time despite being sick as hell, even if it's still a little under construction in parts. I hope to keep adding profiles for characters as i go and to start posting about them more, and maybe doing some interaction stuff ^^

//So uh-- i’m not super around anymore, I’m sure some might’ve noticed. And I’m really sorry for that, especially to anyone waiting for replies or hoping to start something. My mental health is still going through the paper-shredder, and I just don’t know if i can rp for a while on tumblr. So I probably won’t be around and will likely count this as a hiatus of sorts. Around-ish, but not really writing here. I’m okay, I’m alive, but it’s just been rough.

I don’t want to lose contact with many of you though! So if you want, I’m always on discord. If you reply to this or drop me a message, I can send you my discord info, so we might be able to chat more if you want to keep contact, and maybe do some kind of thread on there if I get my spoons back?

Tumblr’s at it again with terminating blogs. It’s happened to quite a few people I know. I’m quite certain it’s a bug, and contacting tumblr will get them reinstated. But it is a very stressful moment for a lot of people regardless.

In light of this, I wanted to give some advice: please please please save all your headcanons and important muse info (even your theme) in a google doc or a document you can access with ease that is not affiliated with tumblr. You have worked hard on those. You deserve to know your work isn’t going to waste and in the event your blog does not get reinstated, it’ll be much easier to make a new blog and just re-add the information with little hassle, and you won’t feel like you lost something valuable because you’ll still have access to it.

This has been a small psa.

Oh the mentioning of Sonic’s questionable human friends is quite confusing unless if they are talking about those tv specials, but that is still way off from what the hedgehog is saying. Sonic just nods in response, but well even if he kept in mind. That doesn’t really gonna stop him from checking it out one day.  “Right! Got it! Do-Err I mean Tom didn’t want me to get in trouble anyway. Heck, I remember accidentally went so fast that I blacked out the whole electricity through our old town.” He chuckles nervously since that was quite a very stressful time for him. “Hmm? My name? Just call me Sonic!”

Blacked out the whole town?? Well– that kinda made sense. In a way that made about as much sense as any of the sonic games. Like– how would a robot thing be powered by baby animals that are Sonic’s friends? handwavey ehhhh noise. So knocking out the power by running a lot wasn’t exactly the furthest reach. Maybe the sonic boom from how fast he was cutting through the air damaged the power lines or something.

“Right…..right.” Arthur nodded, rubbing at his chin in a thoughtful gesture. Sonic seemed at least a little embarrassed by what’d happened, so he wouldn’t pry too much. Especially as a random stranger that might make it weird when he was from a game or— something maybe like that but not at all? “Okay. Well I’m sure if you’re careful, you won’t have too much trouble here. Just uh… some people definitely won’t be expecting you to pop in, so maybe try to stay on the down-low as long as you can.” He rubbed at his neck. It’s nice to meet you Sonic. If I haven’t already said it.”

“Wellll…I don’t know if you did, but I’m happy to meet you!” Hearing a familiar car horn that made his ear twitch and turns to look at the sight of a cop car and there is a man wearing a uniform and sunglasses. 

Tom didn’t seem to mind about Sonic talking to meeting new people, he’s just glad that they didn’t cause any damages or trouble yet. “Hey Sonic! Let’s go get some food! I found a pretty good place to eat.” Of course gestures at Arthur with a friendly wave. 

“Woah hey it’s D-I mean Tom! Well I gotta split sooooo I’ll talk to you later after exploring!” Well with a blink of an eye, Sonic is right at the passenger’s side of the vehicle and it droves off while Sonic is waving frantically at his new friend.

Arthur blinked and missed him zip to the car. But he offered a wave goodbye to where the two were while they could see them. Then he brushed back his hair, eyes wide.

"Sonic the fuckin' hedgehog..." He muttered to himself. Then he shook his head hard, and grabbed his tools. World shattering revelations could wait for his shift to finish.

Okay two things

1) every time I see something like this, or photos of wild unrealistic landscapes that really exist, or spectacular architecture, whatever it is, I think again that when we write fantasy, we NERF REALITY. That is, here’s some dude with a special interest and a brain that somehow lacks basic self preservation mechanisms, and he’s out here looking like a super hero. Regular humans are capable of things we seem super human. Real landscapes are more fantastical than our fantasies. Reality is more fantastical than our fantasies.

2) how the fuck did he not kick out any windows that’s the most impressive part of the whole video.

So as someone who used to teach parkour back in the day, this dude isn’t just talented. His technique is amazing.

It’s not just about not kicking out windows. Controlling how you land is about shock absorption, about minimizing the strain on your joints. It also makes you quieter when you move. A good landing should be as silent as possible, because loud landings hurt. That’s the foundation of everything else you do in parkour. So by the time you’re climbing buildings, if you’re breaking windows it means you don’t have enough control to land safely and it’s time to go back to your ground basics.

Lewis nodded, giving a soft laugh. “Don’t worry, I’m not going to make you go to a haunted forest. How about we go outside and have some tea? We can keep chatting too, get to know each other a little better.” He suggested, a small smile on his face. He really was happy to have some company, being a ghost was kind of lonely.

“Sounds good to me.” Arthur patted the smaller beat, before glancing back up towards Lewis. “Lead the way. We can hang out wherever you’re comfiest. It’ll definitely be interesting to hear how our stuff differs and all that jazz.”
