First Day of Work | Raven & Lori

"Welcome to The Brew, my name is Lorelei, what can I get for you?" Was the line that Lorelei had been using repeatedly all day for her new job. Now that she wanted to go to Graduate School, she felt the need to save up some of her own money so she wasn't entirely depending on Eric for everything. But already it was really stressing her out. So far, she had gotten two orders wrong and broken a mug. Her chances of getting a tip were looking really slim now. But how was she supposed to remember all of the specific details customers gave to her? "Welcome to The Brew, how can-" as she looked up she recognized the face on the other side of the bar and her face lit up. "Raven! It's so good to see you-" Then she coughed a bit awkwardly noticing her boss. "I mean, what can I get for you?"

Al and the Love of Her Life || Raven & Al

“RAVEN!” Al banged the back of her fist on Raven’s dormdoor. Her voice was loud and urgent,  despite the fact that it was late. Valentine’s Day. But still late. “Raven! I need to talk with you! It is important!” The fae took a step backwards away from the door, her body swaying a bit as her eyes flashed back to gaze longingly at the potted plant clutched in her arms.

Without A Safety Harness || Al and Raven

Al is hanging upside down by her hands, on a hoop. She sees the inverted world below her as her forearms burn with the strain of holding her body weight. Raven had spent the better part of the day teaching her about the basics of her circus routine, fulfilling her promise made three years prior. She had learned the basics of foot position and then Raven had performed a few moves for Al to give a shot at. The acrobatic maneuvers were more complicated than Al originally guessed and the soreness in her muscles was evident of that.

Despite the physically demanding aspect of it all, Al was thoroughly enjoying herself. She was loving the height aspect of it. It gave her the same high that crawling on top of the castle wall spire did, that climbing mountains did, that jumping off cliffs into water did – only somehow, this was better. She felt free up here. Despite the fact that she could fall at any moment.

“How is this?” Al questioned, her head turning towards Raven’s form below. The woman was inverted, upside down in her vision.

What A Small World || Raven and Al

Al was about to head back to her dorm room after a few hours outside in the woods by Siraldan Lake, getting a jump start on her Herbology course. The blonde fae was passing through Adaria Park, and the greenhouse that Crowsfall used as a common room, when she spotted someone vaguely familiar. Al searched her head quickly, eyebrows pitching together at the hasty attempt to dig though her memories and match one to the dark-haired girl walking in the opposite direction. It was not until the two were past one another that Al finally drew the connection, stopping in her tracks.

Raven. The areal silk artist and acrobat from the circus. Al remembered how she had run into the young performer and was invited to a show, one she would never forget. And she certainly would not forget the promise that was made to her after the show while they were getting drinks.

Al turned sharply and jogged, calling out, “Raven!?” It was probably not the most tactful way to call someone that may or may not remember you after three years.
