What have I learned from cataloging dozens upon dozens of non-canonical (arbitrarily selected) old books? For one, an understanding of the discursive contexts by which such books have come to be of scholarly interest and relevance. This is cataloger knowledge, and this is a pursuit of knowledge I’ve contributed to as a cataloger at The Early Novels Database (END).
