Believe is the brand new single from Triggah. (July 7th : Flicknife Records)
Sounding like a cross between Ian Dury, The Specials, and Dizzee Rascal, ‘Believe’ is the incredible debut release by Essex based Triggah. Out now on Flicknife records (Dogs D’Amour, Ozric Tentacles, Hawkwind, Adamski, SOHO), the RIDICULOUSLY catchy ‘Believe’ is a ska based rap track, that is sure to offend and amuse.
The brilliant lyrics, which cheerfully poke fun at some widely held religious beliefs, while seeming to argue in favour of certain herbal remedies, combine with a RIDICULOUSLY catchy chorus to create a song which is truly anthemic.

A slick Simpsons / Family Guy style animation, the video depicts such family favourites as the Easter Bunny giving birth to an Easter Egg, Santa Claus falling to his death and many more dark thoughts delivered with a slice of wry.
Triggah is the creation of David Solomons, himself a bit of an unusual character. A Master’s Degree in Eastern Philosophy, he was for a time a Religious Education Teacher in Wales! A Health and Safety Advisor by profession, he has spent several years working on ships and rigs in Europe, Asia, America and Africa. He’s currently working as a Health & Safety Consultant on London construction sites.
Brought up on diet of jazz, blues and ska, he first started playing drums at age 11. By 18 he was playing regular gigs on the London mod scene with his band The Fourfold. At university in Hull, he formed UMMH, which was his first attempt at songwriting and singing (whilst still playing the drums). Today he plays and records with some of the best musicians in the country (although for ‘Believe’ he recorded the whole song just him and a sound engineer). He no longer plays the drums, but you can hear a sample of a recording of one of his old drum rolls on the track ‘Believe’.
Triggah’s other songs include jazz, blues, reggae, funk, trance, bluegrass, funky house, rap, and acid rock, and touch on subjects such as Suicide, University, Eminem, and the X-Factor!
