This is me being SO SO SO HAPPY!!! At the very wise, separate counsel of Anna and another friend, I went to surprise my class today after dropping off my artwork for Spotlight on Art (more on that soon). Kelsey & I were already planning on surprising them but we thought I’d start out in a Google Meet video call then come in the room, but the second, and I mean the SECOND I was in the screen a bunch of them shouted, “YOU’RE IN THE BUILDING!!!!!” Lots of hugs, some tears from me, and a good 30+ minutes hanging out talking. They asked me some really great questions about what’s happening, what my prognosis is, and more. They are such a smart class! I’ve been checking in w/ them weekly and doing a read-aloud either by video or live Meet, but this was our first face-to-face since early December! After spending time w/ them, I ate lunch with my beloved 5th grade team then worked my way around this special, special place to visit (carefully!) the people that I have been missing so much. So many hugs and quite a few tears. I was not prepared for how emotionally overwhelming this day was and how much I really needed it. “Just listen to Anna” really does pay off in my life and I so appreciate her encouragement to me to get over and visit. My heart and soul are filled, and my batteries are recharged to 1000%. I compared it to when Thor shocks Iron Man with lightning in the first Avengers movie and his power levels shoot way up! #trinitylearns #teamb #keepmovingforward #beatcancer #love #happiness #listentoyourwife (at Trinity School) https://www.instagram.com/p/CZN0OLTO6wT/?utm_medium=tumblr
