So this is weird, but the next time you visit Kate you should go to Sylvania National Wilderness Area (I think that's the full name. Googling Sylvania should get you there) in the UP. There are parts of it that have never been logged, which is rare in the upper Midwest. It's got some beautiful old growth pines. The Boundary Waters (Ely, MN) has gorgeous trees too, but it's a longer drive. Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore has some nice forest, too.

Wow, they all look beautiful!! Actually, it has been our wish to have me visit her in the summer (for once) and then drive around to see beautiful things, so these are definitely lovely suggestions!

Korea Trip Update

Sooooo we bought our tickets! We thought we would fly Air Canada non-stop but we just heard the customer service is so bad and that the food in flight was alright. We actually saved on our 5-star hotel booking since Mikes credit card gets him amazing rates at luxury hotels so with the extra money we thought was gonna be for the hotel we put it towards seats on Korean Air!

From Toronto to Seoul, Korean Air and Air Canada are the only airlines that have non-stop flights. It’s a 14 hr flight. Mike has never flown overseas so we figured we’d make our flight a more stress free and fly with an airline that had great reviews on economy seats, food, and customer service. I’ve never flown non-stop though so I hope we won’t get too bored or restless on the flight. When I would travel to the Philippine we would usually have 2 connecting flights so this is new to me. It did cost us $200 more than an air canada flight. I’m super excited though cuz I’ve only flown on United, Air Canada, and Philippine Airlines. Excited to try out a new airline!

On top of that I’ve started doing a bit more detailed itinerary for us since we will be in Seoul for 11 days with a few day trips. So starting to look at nice locations, street food areas and specific shopping centres we want to go to. Oh and we bought super cute luggage as well already! We’ll probably book all our day trips and the stuff that need to be done before we leave, but after our mini vacay next week at FanExpo. We have an Airbnb for 4 days and 3 nights here in Toronto for that. After that we’ll be 1 week away from September! Man where did the summer go!

So yea that’s just a little mini update. I may share our agenda on here. I don’t remember if I mentioned it in my last video but we are also planning on vlogging this trip! Some of you may know that I’ve always wanted to vlog but never really felt confident about it nor did I have the proper equipment but Mike is planning on buying us a Canon GX 7 Mark II for the trip under the condition that follow through with my weight loss goals before the trip. So I’m working hard on that with the camera and trip in mind.

also! in London there are some great comic shops, so if you're thinking of looking for that sort of place Orbital Comics is my favourite followed by Forbidden Planet, which are massive and awesome

I'm not hugely into comics- in fact, the only one I own is an Incredibles comic that I found at Barnes & Noble. I might take a look to see if they have any, though...

And Forbidden Planet is on the list. Because I know there's a lot of awesome Doctor Who stuff that you can get there. Like the shirt that looks like 10's outfit.
