that scene always seemed super ooc to me like i've never gotten over it years later in any incarnation of it

literally, it just doesnt make sense for how his character turns out to be and i know she was just trying to get people to realize there was something Different about the sohma’s it was just ODD

its unfortunate bc i want to support female characters and like if she didn’t project onto him maybe id feel different but she has just always rubbed me the wrong way.

@trippingonair honestly you’re right!! i live in a really cloudy/overcast place so naturally everyone who lives here is chronically vitamin D deficient and i’ve been on and off iron supplements for a while. but ngl i 100% forgot about how those things affect my mood so thank u for reminding me i need to take my vitamins

is this related to the national shortage of wheeliebins?

I looked into this, and it is due to questionnaires and polls conducted about preferences between rubbish bags and wheeliebins the last time my town waste management polled people, and it may also link in to their aims for a zero waste town, which is much more pedestrian; the national and international shortage of wheeled bins (and the serious letter about it) was much more exciting (but also about seven+ years ago, so hopefully the industry has righted itself).

Is it possible for you to get a lidded trashcan?

yeah, that will be the most sensible option, I think; I will just have to make Very Sure that the lid is cat-proof. (technically we have tiny food waste bins, but they are. uh. smaller than the cat and thus extremely vulnerable to feline munchies. plus a pain to deal with.)
