A letter to me from Tris

So basically I had written this for a contest in which we had to write a letter to ourselves from our fav character and being the Divergent addict that I am, I chose Tris. So here goes.....

Dear Srishti,

I am Tris Prior.

I am Divergent and that means I can’t be controlled. Being Divergent is my identity, it is who I truly am.

I was born in Abnegation, the selfless faction but I wasn’t selfless enough to belong there. My heart didn’t find its residence within Abnegation. Being born somewhere doesn’t confine people to that place. I loved my family but I hated being someone who I am not so I transferred to Dauntless, the brave faction. Remember to always be true to yourself. Do what your heart says and trust your instincts.  

Be brave and strong. Bravery isn’t the riddance of fear. Ignoring your fear and doing something anyway is when you are your bravest.

I know you were crushed when I died but it was for a good cause. I wouldn’t have let Caleb, my brother go in my place because even though he betrayed me I loved him. At the end of conflict, love always wins. It was something worth dying for.

No one is black or white; everyone is grey. I made equally good and bad choices and thank you for looking up to me despite the bad ones.

I am watching you from above, ok? Be you.

**Divergent Spoiler!!**

Okay, is it just me or does it seem slightly strange that In Tris’ apttitude test she looks out the window of the cafeteria and it’s snowing? Like why is that necessary to mention in the book? Like is it just me or did that seem like the slightest sliver of foreshadowing for when she dies? She died when it was snowing. Sorry just re-reading and I noticed that. What if this is a thing?

GET OVER TRIS! I'm sorry, but Tris earned that gunshot. She deserved to die! I cried, yes I did when I read it, but that doesn't mean she didn't earn her death! Literally, when my friend Vanessa yelled "Tris DIED!" I yelled "YAY!" Seriously.

Feel free to hate me. I don't care.
