“ a kiss doesn’t mean anything. ”
Ford had never expected to feel so...rejected. The whole thing was wrong and she'd known it the minute it happened, she felt guilt almost instantly; the minute his lips pressed against her and her own hand instinctively wrapped around his neck she knew it was wrong and and yet those words hit her like a ton of bricks. Her face fell, momentarily before she managed to compose herself in front of him, she didn't want him thinking that anything he said actually affected her. And even then she was kicking herself for letting it get to her the way it had, as if she'd expected that something about this whole thing would make him different. He was the same person through and through and nothing was going to change that. Not their bond over Brent's accident, their company a strange coping mechanism that she still didn't comprehend, a drunken kiss in an empty stadium or the pitying looks that came from everyone around them. The 'I'm so sorrys' from people who barely knew Brent, the ones that angered the both of them equally but garnered different reactions. It was stupid of her to think that maybe, just maybe he had softened, and she was quickly brought back to reality. "No," she replied with a firm nod, avoiding his gaze altogether for fear of buckling, of screaming at him. "I didn't say it did." And as she turned to walk away, her own version of the cold shoulder she stopped, looking back momentarily, over his shoulder still not in the eye. "It never happened, it's better that we treat it that way."

‘ am i dreaming or is that you? ’
There she was. Beautiful as ever and he couldn’t help himself from closing the space between them and cupping her face. “I’m here.” He breathed out, a smile forming on his lips.
“I’ve missed you so much,” Cedric hated being away from Genesis, she was his favourite person in the whole world. He knew his place though, he knew he had a job and that sadly was keeping Ezra safe. Over the months of being on the run, his hatred for him faded. Sure, he still didn’t think Ezra was worthy of Presley. But he grew up with Presley, she was like a sister to him.
Ezra was explosive and dangerous, everything Cedric wanted to keep Presley and Genesis away from. However, he proved to be helpful. More than once he protected Cedric, kept him alive. That was something Cedric had to say Ezra was good at, surviving. Even when he didn’t want to live anymore.
“I had a dream when I was away about us getting married. About us starting a family, growing old together. It was the one thing that kept me going, no matter how far we were from each other. We would find each other again.”
“Please don’t be angry forever, my love.” Cedric brushed her hair out of her face. “It wasn’t his fault. He did everything he could to get us both out. He wanted them to let me go, screamed when they hurt me, begged to let me go. He didn’t care if they killed him, he wanted me to come back to you.” Finally he stepped back, allowing space between them again.
“I love you, I always have. I’ll be watching over you and keeping you safe.” He pressed a kiss to her cheek, “I wanted to see you one last time. I hope you remember this when you wake up, I love you so much Genesis.”

🍞🍞🍞🍞🍞🍞🍞 ADELE THROWS ALL THE BREAD
Isaiah snorted when he laughed as Adele frisbee-tossed a piece of mouldy cheese loaf at him, it hitting the couch cushion he was crouched behind. “You’re gonna have to do better than that if you wanna hit a target as small as me, Adele!” The delight in his voice was plain and apparent and the giggles that were coming from Adele was something that Isaiah held dear.
He loved his friend dearly and hearing her truly enjoying herself made him delighted, even if she was trying to nail him in the face with mouldy bread. Grabbing a slice of sourdough from his stash behind the cushion, Isaiah lobbed it over his makeshift barrier.
The shriek-laugh and following giggle from Adele made Isaiah pop his head over the top of the cushion right as Adele frisbee-tossed another piece of cheese loaf at him, hitting him square in the face.
“Got you!”
“Ah! Right in the face!” Isaiah laughed. There was bread everywhere in his apartment, but the laughs and the fun were totally worth it. He felt happy; he felt content; he felt like the world was right for once.

Hailey couldn’t sleep. She was tired, that wasn’t the problem. Every bone in her body was aching to get some rest and fall into a dreamless slumber. But she just couldn’t do it. She couldn’t fall into the old grey sheets covering a bed that was far from comfortable, but better than sleeping on the floor. Instead, she sat on a rusty old chair, legs pressed against her chest, chin resting on her knees. Every sound had her wincing. She had grown paranoid over the past months, she would not deny that. She saw monsters in the shadows, and people willing to kill -- or worth, experience on her -- behind every corner. The building she was in was old though, and outside it was windy. There were plenty of noises keeping her on edge. But that wasn’t the only thing that worried her and kept her awake. It had been too long. John had been gone for way too long. He promised her he’d come up -- and that usually meant he did. Unless he changed his mind. Unless he was already a million miles away from her because she was too much of a burden, or because he was sick of her, or whatever else. That was the bearable option. Unbearable was the other option -- that something had happened to him. That he was dead. She wouldn’t let herself thinkingg about it. Instead, she forced herself to think about other stuff, to dwell in memories better than this place. Maybe she had been dozing off with her eyes open, but the door opening all of a sudden almost caused her to fall off her chair. Then she was standing up straight, her heart beating rapidly even as she recognized the familiar face. “Where the hell, were you?”, she almost yelled, fear, shock and relief mixing inside her stomach all at once. “I was worried sick about you.”
