Light is not the same in the both rooms, we can see that with the floor... So, I don't think it's related to the color of the walls :/

Aww :P both rooms had the same lamp alight in the same spot, but the sun’s orientation from the windows might be playing tricks with my eyes. I do feel like there is still a slight effect going on (daytime picture). Maybe it’s just a trick of the eye, I dunno.

                   I think the sky fix messes with Radiance...or one of these new mods. I ended up getting rid of Radiance because the lighting was so FUBAR. I use the Spookymuffin (?) one now and it's so much better, imo.

I have SkyFix but I’m not experiencing any issues between them. I use this version of Radiance, thought my skyfix may not be the latest release? Anyways, what does the Spookymuffin mod do differently?

Do you use a filter on your pictures or it’s a lighting mod ? I love this hot effect ^_^ 

Yup! It’s a lighting mod, you can get it here if you’re interested. And I edit my photos as well to make it look a bit cooler :)

The landscaping is completely subject to change, since I'm just kind of poking around at it and trying to see what works.

I think for me it's mostly the general shape of the house - it's so boxy, but not in the simplistic way the trailer homes are. It's one of those things that always bugged me, too, because I do like Darren and Dirk an awful lot - their story's always felt so powerful - so I'd like them to have a home remodel that I'm really proud of.

Thank you! I do sketches like these for a lot of the houses, actually, either when I'm away from my computer or when I just need to look away from the game to try getting inspiration elsewhere. It helps a lot with planning things out.

Windows and doors of Apartment life maybe ? I'm not sure, i'm bad for choice that x)

For the house style, the windows from AL (and the various expansion/completer sets) do work best. It was really a matter of finding the best fit, and finding ones with single windows on 1 tile and on 2 tiles.

Thank you! And yeah, windows and doors always leave me stumped, ahaha... I tend to place change them a lot before I'm finally satisfied.

Yeah. It's a major change in style (though the exterior walls of the actual house haven't changed). It's also another exercise in style challenge for me, since it's another one I've never really worked with before. It's pretty enjoyable so far, though.

Thank you for the suggestion! It's not exact, but your suggestion got me looking through New Orleans architecture, which inspired something I could get behind.
