i  hope  i  see  you  in  my  dreams .          :            @tristessas .

          nexus  gives  his  beloved  what  amounts  to ,  quite  honestly ,  a  very  stupid  smile .     something  about  her  ( well ,  everything  about  her )  turns  him  into  a  dreamy  mess ,  hanging  off  of  her  every  word ,  her  every  syllable ,  her  every  breath .     he  leans  in  close ,  forehead  against  hers ,  reveling  in  their  closeness  for  one  moment ,  two ,  until  he  takes  a  scant  few  inches  of  distance ,  too  far ,  too  far .     his  smile  wisens ,  only  slightly ,  eyes  glimmering  with  mischief  and ,  as  always ,  with  love .          “  i  hope  you’ll  see  me  in  your  dreams ,  and  tomorrow  too ,  huh ?     in  person ,  i  mean .     cor - por - ee - al .  ”          he  stretches  the  word  out ,  teases  it  on  his  tongue .     but  then  he  pauses ,  brow  furrowing ,  and  thinks  of  a  question  he’s  never  thought  of  before  :  just  how  corporeal  are  they ,  now ?     he  supposes  it  doesn’t  matter ,  either  way  --  as  long  as  he  can  touch  galaxy ,  hold  her ,  everything  else  comes  second ,  third ,  fourth  in  importance .

     @tristessas     /     𝐆𝐀𝐋𝐀𝐗𝐘     :     i can make a straw wrapper crawl like a worm.

                    𝐇𝐈𝐒  𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐑𝐄  𝐅𝐀𝐂𝐄  lights  up ,  eyes  sparkling .          “  nuh  uh ,  no  way  --  let  me  see !  ”          he’s  as  enthusiastic  about  this  as  he  is  with  absolutely  everything  else  that  galaxy  does  or  even  thinks  of  doing  --  but  it’s  not  an  act .     even  the  most  mundane  things  in  the  world ,  the  silly  little  jokes  and  games  they  play  with  each  other  and  with  the  town . . . everything  is  made  brilliant ,  is  made  special ,  by  the  sheer  presence  of  galaxy  beside  him ,  including  him ,  showing  him .          (  also ,  he  really  wants  to  see  a  straw  wrapper  worm .  )

     @tristessas​     /     𝐆𝐀𝐋𝐀𝐗𝐘 :     we need to embrace humanity, let the world in.

                    𝐄𝐘𝐄𝐒  𝐀𝐑𝐄  𝐃𝐈𝐌 ,  the  vampire  incapable  of  exuding  the  same  positivity ,  the  same  enthusiasm .     but  the  last  thing  she  wants  to  do  is  crush  the  other’s  hope  --  even  if  jay  herself  lacks  any  of  her  own .          “  how  do  you  embrace  humanity  when  it  feels  as  if  i  have  none  left ?  ”          letting  the  world  in . . . well .     that  was  another  layer ,  another  impossibility  in  jay’s  mind .     she  closes  her  eyes  for  a  long  second ,  opens  them  again .          “  how  do  you  let  the  world  in  when  the  world  as  you  knew  it  before  is  closed  to  you ?  ”

     @tristessas     /     𝐊𝐀𝐓 :     the thing is, i have something big to tell you.

                    𝐇𝐄  𝐆𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐒  𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐑  at  his  girlfriend  inquisitively ,  eyes  glimmering .          “  a  good  something  or  a  bad  something ?  ”          he  tries  to  search  her  face ,  to  try  and  gauge  the  answer  before  she  even  gives  one .    regardless ,  he  decides  only  half  consciously  to  try  and  make  a  joke  --          “  you’re  not  going  to  tell  me  you’re  pregnant ,  right ?     i  think  your  dad  would  kill  me  --  i  mean , if  you  didn’t  do  it  first .  ”          he  scrunches  his  nose ,  trying  to  make  sure  that  she’s  having  as  much  of  a  good  time  with  his  messing  as  he  is .
