If he was having to admit to one thing, he wasn't gonna' admit to another. Naoto's smart anyway, she'd read through the lines, probably. She could be dense in the emotional department, but Kanji's never figured it a flaw, and that'd just play to his benefit, here. Each DVD portrayed a tale of dramatized infatuation and the turmoil that exists within that passion, how it either adds or subtracts. Kanji wouldn't spend his hard earned money on a piece of shit script though, so all of 'em he could vouch for... but he's not gonna' put Naoto through an hour of him weeping.

That's just one of the many bad things in that imagined plight, and Kanji... well, less Kanji, but... he wanted to give Naoto a good evening in, away from the chaos. Everyone saw how swamped her locker was, the mountain of heart-shaped chocolates flowing from within it, love letters to match, and she... honestly, the fact that Kanji could steal her attention for a moment of today was a marvel in and of itself.

"Hey, thanks for uh... I know you probably get rumors started about you. 'Cause of me, so... thanks for showin' up. It's not much, but Ma' picked up some teas for ya. Didn't know if you liked 'em hot or cold, so, they're still in the kitchen..."

Dumbass, who likes their tea cold?

"Anyway. 'Fore we start, I've got some snacks you can sort through. Movie's," Kanji squints at the DVD slip from afar, the pop of kernels following his forward lean, 'till he remembers that has to be on the stove to cook, dumbass. "Taken. Someone said it was good, so, they better be right. It was expensive as hell to rent."

Had to email a doctor for the first time ever to get a doctors note for work because of my ankle that was apparently not given upon being discharged from the ER, and within an hour I got a phone call asking for a video conference with the doctor and almost had a ducking heart attack cause I just expected an email exchange, but I managed and now I have a doctors note!!
