Ethnographic Museum in Centre of Lefkosha - Dervish Pasha Mansion
A beautiful square like 2floors house with small garden was built in 19th century and belonged to Dervish Pasha the editor of newspaper "Zaman", which was very popular in Turkey and was first time published IN North Cyprus in 1891.
For a long time mansion was in bad condition and not repaired; however, in 1978 part of it was nationalized, later restored by Department of Antiquities (in 1988 with financial help of Turkey) and turned into Ethnographic Museum.
Entrance for students 5 TL; for tourists 7 TL.
Museum contains a lot of historically and culturally interesting and original items like swords, national costumes and items of household.
