How do you think Vegeta would react if Bulma just didn’t want to be touched by Vegeta anymore. Like cuddling or bathing with each other?
I think King Vegeta would be 2 for 2 on sons being launched into distant stars
alskdja No but fr I do hc that this was part of the recovery post-Buu once the adrenaline and gratitude that everyone was okay wore off and Bulma and Vegeta had to really think about what happened (especially because Bulma literally didn't know, and I like to imagine Vegeta told her. The crew who was there also probably helped fill in details, but Vegeta is really the only one who knew what was happening in his head and why Bobidi had such an easy time exploiting it).
But effectively, under the influence or not, Vegeta cheated on her (albeit in a non-sexual, abstract way). He chose something else (power) over her and their son, and while I think there's so much grace she can and must have offered him between his mental health and how serious relapses are and pressure and stress, the fact still remains, and she's allowed to be hurt by it. She was completely in the dark while her husband was struggling, and I personally think Vegeta also didn't realize how much anger he still had in him until the trigger was pulled, but that's still a very scary for both of them that neither of them were able to clock or communicate that when they've been through so much together as it is.
So, my personal headcanon is that there was a recovery period in which they just agreed to give her time. If she wanted affection or didn't want him anywhere near her probably varied by the day and he left it up to her, with the philosophy that he would be there unless and until she told him not to be. I really , really love to think there was just a few months of them just getting to know each other again, maybe wholly for the first time without all of Vegeta's demons in the way, and quietly recovering their trust without pressure or intention.
So I guess my answer is, he'd ask her what's going on and if she said she was done with him he would probably leave her alone. Pride doesn't beg and love doesn't force, so, if she wants him gone that's where he'll be.

Wait, so what rank were Nappa and Raditz in the Frieza Empire? How they talked made it seem like they were also elites or at least upper rank. Do you think that the Saiyan trio would have also slept together)
Good question! Vegeta probably would not have been officially bunked with them because he was one of the lords, but Nappa was a Saiyan elite and Raditz was a Saiyan warrior, which even though one was low ranking by Saiyan standards likely put them both leagues ahead of most other FF soldiers, since Cui even made a crack about Vegeta coming back without his invincible saiyans or something to that effect.
I imagine they might have had their own private rooms on the ship, or even private housing stationed in Vegeta’s like. Sector? Depending on if they’re staying on the battleship or a Freeza planet. I am personally of the hc that they didn’t all spend much time together until it was just the three of them left, then Vegeta got more adamant about working with the other two (I know the anime has different lore, but I base my hcs on the manga /Toriyamaverse) so idk if they would have slept together like I would bet money the Ginyu Force did as much as they were housed near each other for convenience and also safety probably.
(Please keep in mind I’m making all of this up, I have no real basis for how these things work in canon outside of guessing with Vague Memory of Feudalism + American Military structure, haha.)

Do you think the elites had their own room that they slept in while the middle class and low class combatants sleep together in the frieza force?
I do! I think it depends on where you’re stationed, too. I’m American so my understanding of military depictions may be different than other places but I imagine (especially if the Xenoverse(?) lore about the FF having pregnancy care is true fjdj) that Freeza planets have more like, military on/off-base housing in the sense that you have your own single or multi-family apartments/homes, especially if you’re not active duty (but still in the FF). If it’s as massive an empire as Toriyama made it seem it probably has some regional differences planet to planet, but I do imagine generally enlisted people have arrangements based on a blend of their needs and status.
I think if you’re in training or active duty you’re more likely to live on base in a barracks > private room > full suite situation depending on your rank, even if for no other reason than giving lower ranks something to work for and higher ranks something to lose.
Since the four Lords seem to travel with Freeza I imagine they have their own private quarters/areas of the Freeza Planet/battleship. I also imagine the Ginyu Force could have private quarters but probably opt to bunk together for Team Bonding.

Don’t fight me but I think it’s a little cute how instead of killing his youngest son king Vegeta sent him to another planet for being weak. Not sure if saiyans kill their children if they’re weak but maybe he was hoping he would get stronger…

I think that’s a very sweet interpretation! You may know I prefer my King V a Bastard (a good leader and a bad person) but however his personality is interpreted, he is regularly represented as being very smart! Sending his weaker son off as a contingency plan is certainly not out of character for him, imho! It’s interesting too, because Tarble was old enough to recognize Vegeta as his brother, and Vegeta knew Tarble on sight too, so training probably was attempted before he was sent off-world.
Idk what the anime/eng dub said, but the JPN sub says he was sent to a distant star hfjdjd I do love the slapstick comedy of something dumb rerouting his pod like in SD, but I also think it’s a neat idea that maybe King V might’ve sent him to the tek-teks(?) in the hopes that if he couldn’t be a fighter, maybe he could make for a powerful engineer. He clearly (in the Toriyamaverse) valued science and technology, but maybe he’d have been embarrassed that a warrior bloodline didn’t produce warrior offspring. Anything’s possible!
I know Tarble also made an appearance in DBS’ anime, but I didn’t make it far enough into the arc to see him. FWIW, I din’t think ALL Saiyans kill off weak offspring! Gine, for instance, was a poor fighter so she just ended up employed in a different role. I think like many upper-class (especially imperial) societies, there are very intense expectations and standards placed on the children of high-ranking families, and since Tarble was of royal blood (in a very ruthless monarchy), he removed from the family’s/people’s legacy.
I think it’s the Saiyan version of being disowned, which is not what happens to every kid who doesn’t meet or exceed expectations! But is more likely to happen to very high status children who threaten devalue a family’s (especially a royal family’s) reputation. And with Prince Vegeta casting such a massive shadow as the strongest Saiyan born on record (that anyone knew of), I imagine Tarble either being a poor fighter or a low-ranking power was not good propaganda for the superiority standards that Vegeta would be raised to embody and hold himself accountable for.
But what’s fun (awful) to think about is (in the JPN) Vegeta believed Tarble was sent to a distant star and Tarble breezes past it. And if Tarble was old enough to know his brother, he probably thought he was being sent off to a low-ranking world like other Saiyan children. And if that’s not the case, then Vegeta was lied to about what happened to his brother! So either way, King V was lying to somebody about something 🤔
Do you think Vegeta spoils Trunks? Or just bulla because she’s a girl? And do you think that Vegeta would be involved in parenthood if bulla came first instead if trunks?
I think that they’re spoiled in different ways, but I think it’s less to do with boy and girl and more to do with where Vegeta was emotionally when they were children. When Trunks was born, outside of living on a compound and preparing for war, Vegeta was three years into living a completely foreign life. His understanding of fatherhood was ‘made a baby strong enough to live, my work here is done.’
It was only after losing Future Trunks that he committed to trying to learn Earth’s standards and practices as a husband and father, and he wasn’t doing that while having to unlearn everything else (or at least compartmentalize it since he had no more wars to fight) and grapple with grief and guilt and love and compassion and all of these other extremely new emotions that were never allowed (internally or externally) before, much less encouraged. Trunks had a very different father than Bulla did, but he still managed to grow up sure-footed and confident and seeing his dad as the coolest person ever, and canonically Vegeta’s threat to Teen Trunks not joining the tournament was cutting his allowance in half. That boy is spoiled to death.
I do think that he’s better at playing now, even if he’ll never be The Fun Dad like Goku or Krillin, but I also think that his idea of bonding remains mostly passively letting his toddlers play at him while he does his best to figure out how to participate (or just be patient while they crawl on him and draw on him and put stickers and glitter and clips in his hair). But I also think if the kids wanted to make a homevideo monster movie to be superheroes in he would go Oozaru for them so they could pretend to fight a kaiju in the desert somewhere.
I do also think he would be involved if Bulla were born first, especially if the circumstances were the same. I told another friend that even despite them being different in the future timeline, Vegeta still stayed, so I think whether or not it was Bulla or Trunks he would still be motivated to stay accessible and make sure they were okay, in his own ways.
so many misguided metaphors around violence and desire. if the open maw of a panting beast fills you with the want to be devoured, that does not make you prey. while the rabbit trembles in fear, its deepest desire is to run. evolution demands it. in fact, the desire to be eaten does not make you any small animal at all.

I gotta say I sometimes reflect on how easy it could have been for Toriyama to give Gohan a son, DB being a shonen jump manga, but he gave Gohan a daughter instead. No further comments I just think it's neat
