DATAGRAPHIC was asked to produce 150,000 of these unique origami building blocks known as #TROXES for creator, Jonathan Bobrow, who successfully Kickstarted his invention in May of 2017. The triangular, interlocking building bricks, which begin as a flat, die cut shape, were designed at the MIT Media Lab as a medium for geometric play. We were tasked with die cutting the shapes out of colored 122# Plike cover stock, which was UV printed with a clear gloss on one side. As with Legos, there are infinite possibilities once you start combining pieces. (at DataGraphic)
