12.10.06. To My Dearest: Oh it’s hard to even think where I can begin. Things have just happened so fast. I bet when outsiders look at us they think that we’ve been together forever. I’ve been really nervous thinking about what to write in here…whether or not it will do my feelings for you justice. And I’ve crumpled and restarted probably a dozen times. Finally, I’ve come to terms…You are indeed a sunset to me. Every time you smile it makes me light-headed. You’ve showed me so much; I’ve always been scared of my future. Not any more. There is a new hope living within my soul now. When I think about our future together my whole body smiles. All these thoughts race through my head…from us saying our vows to having our children. Buying our first home together. You give me hope. All my doubts are drowned out now. I can honestly say I’ve never been this happy before. Ever since I was a little boy I’ve wanted to believe that God has created my one and only. And sometimes I would doubt that. I would think that no one could ever love me, with all my faults. But you’ve showed me that I can be loved for me. I need you by my side. Through thick and thin. There is not a day that passes that I don’t thank God for putting you in my life, for creating such a gorgeous and perfect match for me. You truly are perfect. I love everything about you. Most of all I love how you make me feel. When I look into those baby blues, I lose myself. And yes, I can see your soul, see who you really are. (and your mocking eyeroll upon reading it but) I see your huge, passionate heart. I hope you know I would travel around the world for you. Through hell and back. Nothing can ever take away the vast, ever-longing love that I have for you. I look forward to learning more of you, and growing together; as individuals and as a couple. I look forward to growing old with you my dear. Everyday gives me more strength, hope, and love. My heart has also doubled in size since I began loving you. And my only wish is that it can continue to grow because if not…all the love I have for you will surely kill me. This is the rest of our lives…and I couldn’t be more satisfied. I love you.
