Thoughts on Troye's music

I've been thinking about this a lot lately. Can we take a minute to appreciate Troye Sivan's lyrics? Because it just blows my mind every time I listen to his songs. And whenever a new song is released I think "Wait... that's a cool way to word it! I never thought of it this way." Think of all the symbolism he incorporates in the music. Like he dresses up a thought or a feeling in a way that no one can say for sure what it is about. And he paints the pictures with words in such a visual and vivid way that you can almost physically feel it. Think about "starve my heart of touch and time" from DKLA. (Personally one of my favourite lines) Doesn't it make you want to decode the meaning of it? Analyse it? Read between the lines? And I feel like a lot of people don't appreciate it enough about Troye. He's absolutely brilliant at writing poetry. Of course, maybe it's my perception because symbolism is something I always look for in any kind of art. I swear I see so so much beauty in symbolism, I can't emphasize this enough. But it seems like some people see him as "another youtuber who makes music" and maybe you can put it this way. But Troye Sivan is so much more than that. I think his music (the melody component and the sound structure), as well as lyrics, have a unique style and it's highly inspirational because to me, uniqueness is the most valuable thing when it comes to any sort of art. It's recognizable because it's different. And this is probably why I respect Troye so much. And I'm extremely proud that at 20 years of age he has achieved such a great success.
