What is your favorite zine of the moment? My favorite zine right now is Caves & Flying Dinos by seakae and Halley. Halley described monsters seen in a D&D Monster Manual to seakae and seakae sketched Halley's descriptions.
What do you think of when you think of Olympia? I think of driving past the old Olympia Brewery when I was a kid, when our family would drive to Oregon to visit family members, and how the air near the brewery smelled like beer. The artesian well. Wandering the stacks of Orca Books. Walking around Capitol Lake.
What’s your favorite zine hack? Making rough draft versions of the zine or chapbook I'm working on so that I have an idea of page count and what the layout should look like. I find this especially helpful for mini zines so that the inside and outside pages are oriented correctly.
What are you gonna be for Halloween? I stopped dressing up for Halloween a few years ago. Occasionally I grow my beard out and cosplay as Herman Melville, though.
What motivates you to finish a zine? Some sort of external deadline. Having an upcoming show usually encourages me to have some new writing and/or art on hand.
What is your weather prediction for this year's fest? Crisp and clear early autumn sunshine!
What workshop are you the most stoked about? Shrinky Dinks! I love to see all of the miniature items that everyone creates.
