I just watched K-Pop Demon Hunters (which is literally one of the best if not the best movie I've seen this year) and unfortunately I am now imagining Radiant Sunset Spider characters to almost EVERY song.............

And today's Sinister Six spotlight goes to...
Scorpion and Rhino.
Figuring out these two was a little bit easier, as I already had an idea for them in mind thanks to the Scorpion/Rhino bossfight in Insomniac Spider-Man. I liked their boss fight, but one question came to mind: How would this bossfight change if they didn't hate each other?
I originally just had them as ride-or-die best friends, but then, as I figured out their details, I realized that they worked better as an established romantic couple. They were perfect for each other, making up for each other's weaknesses. And from that point, I decided on their backstory.
Career criminal Melissa McGargan had never thought she would want help with her crimes until she met Alex O'Hirn. The man intrigued her from the get-go; he didn't think he could fix her, he could take anyone he pleased in a fight, and most importantly, he was stupid. She helped him out once and he thought he owed her his life now? I mean, not like she was complaining or anything.
The two fell madly in love a few months into their partnership.
They're now devoted to each other, completely inseparable until they're beaten soundly by Sunset Spider, and Alex is invited to participate in an experiment-- one which will make him stronger than ever. With Melissa's permission, he goes along with it. It turns out to be a mistake on his part-- he's trapped in a suit of metal armor he can never remove, and Melissa has gotten herself into prison. He vows then and there that if they're ever reunited, he'll never leave her side again.
Melissa, meanwhile, is approached by the ever-spiteful J. Jonah Jameson, who tells her that he'll bail her out and give her the exact same level of power that the Rhino now has—if she promises only to use it to defeat Sunset Spider. The newly-named Scorpion breaks this promise immediately. What's Triple-J gonna do, get her thrown back in prison? Things get even better for her when she finds herself face-to-face with the Rhino. After all, even underneath the armor, he's still her Alex. He's still completely and utterly devoted to her, and her own love for him hasn't diminished either.
The problem now is Sunset Spider. Again. She's complicating things for them every step of the way. Can't they just steal stuff and fight people in peace?
When another well-known criminal comes to them with an offer, they're both extremely skeptical at first. He likely only wants Rhino. That's usually what happens with this sort of thing. But in actuality, he wants both of them. He won't even take Rhino without Scorpion. After all, he reasons, Rhino only answers to Scorpion. And what good is an attack dog without its handler? Furthermore, if they choose to join him, he will ensure that no one tries to separate them ever again. But it's their decision, of course-- just a thought. (And then evil found family ensues.)
Now that I’ve talked about Mr. No Backstory Only Theatre, my first spotlit Sinister Six member is:
Electro.
Writing Electro is a lot more difficult than I first thought. I wanted to make him a little more unique, as most of his adaptations have a kind of weird motive (or a lack thereof) and don't really stand out. I don't even know what "becoming pure energy" is supposed to mean. So, I came up with his concept first (that being the fact that he uses the electricity he produces to power his instruments/equipment) and then constructed a motive from there, that being rebellion. After his motive was set, I figured out his backstory. I had a general idea, but then fleshed it out a little more. (This is a long one, so get ready.) Maxwell Dillon was always rebellious. No one could blame him. His parents weren't exactly the best, to put it mildly. The moment he turned 18, they kicked him out of their house, and he spent the next three years wandering from job to job and occasionally getting into trouble with the law. Things only worsen for him when, by some cruel twist of fate, he falls onto a power line during a storm... but somehow doesn't die. He awakens on the ground, his body consumed by the worst pain he's ever felt in his life. As he looks up towards a nearby window, some glowing distortion of his former self stares back at him with pupil-less eyes. Scars branch down its arms like lightning, spreading out to his back. (Lichtenberg scars, as he soon learns from a panicked internet search, usually go away after 24 hours. His never do.) But with this tragedy comes something Max never thought he'd have: power. He can power his instruments using only the electricity he produces, but he soon finds that he can also direct said electricity at anything he wants to. And so he decides to use that power to do the one thing he's always done: rebel against any and all authority, including the law itself. With this decision, he takes on the name Electro--a name suiting a rising star like him. Everyone's going to know that name soon enough. When Sunset Spider crosses his path, she's basically the only thing that can stop him from doing whatever he wants. After he's been beaten multiple times, a certain scientist comes to him with a proposal, and a promise: If Electro decides to join his carefully selected team of criminals--the words carefully selected make him feel a strange sort of pride he hasn't felt in years--then they will kill Sunset Spider once and for all, and then he will have the complete freedom he so desires. (And then evil found family ensues.)
More sillies (evil edition)
No one asked, I delivered. Here is The Radiant Sunset Spider’s Sinister Six:
you will be hearing much more about them.
I really enjoy your radiant spider stuff, but especially the Scorpion x Rino ship! I'd love to learn more about them and their relationship! Do you have any spare headcannons about the two? Or you could find one of those fun "about my ship" graphic things and fill it out?
Only if you want to! I'm just super curious!
So I couldn't find any "about my ship" graphics that I actually liked, so here are some headcanons! (Though come to think of it, since I'm writing them, they're just... canons.)

Rhino fell first. Scorpion fell harder.
Scorpion always calls the shots. If Doc Ock gives an order, Rhino won't do as he says right away-- he'll look to Scorpion for approval. The only order from her that he won't obey is the order to leave her behind.
With that being said, she is absolutely not manipulative. She actively encourages him to pursue things that benefit him, even if they don't benefit her. When he's asked to participate in the experiment that gives him the armor, she encourages him to go through with it, as she knows that he wants to become stronger.
(That comes back to bite both of them, and she still feels like it's her fault that he's trapped in the armor.)
They've been together for 2-3 years. Both are considering popping the question, but they're a little too busy trying to get rid of Sunset Spider at the moment.
Post-armor, the only person who calls Rhino "Alex" anymore is Scorpion. To everyone else, he's just Rhino. But to her? Armor or no armor, he'll always be her Alex.
They're a sodium chloride ship. Terrible people who make each other better my beloved♡
Scorpion is more experienced when it comes to relationships, and she's had enough crappy ones to know that Rhino is a keeper.
Both of them technically can drive, but neither of them are great at it. Besides, who needs a car when you can sit on your 7'4", near-invincible boyfriend's shoulder and plow through the streets? (Or just plow through the streets yourself, if you're Rhino.)
They both love reality TV, but Scorpion prefers darker shows documenting scandals and drama, while Rhino prefers cooking, competition, and home improvement.

That's it for now, but I might update this list if I have any more! Thanks for asking (and sorry for the wait)!
Hi! I stumbled across your art, which I have to say I love, and specifically noticed your Spidersona Sunset Spider because she has the same codename as one of my spider characters! Olive Wellerman, Sunset-Spider of earth 192114! What a fun coincidence, huh?
I looked through your posts about her and her ‘verse, and Kira is such an interesting character, you’ve done some great worldbuilding!
AHSDHSHFH THANK YOU That really is a fun coincidence!! Having looked at your Sunset-Spider, I have to say her design and universe look really cool too!
