I smelt implications afoot and I was right
In season 2, episode 6, of Legend of Lara Croft, to access an underwater tomb, Lara and Sam must bring together the symbols of two gods from Yoruban mythology, those being Mawu (in show said to be goddess of the moon) and Lisa (in show said to be goddess of the sun). Lara retrieves Lisa's spear, Sam retrieves a shield that has Mawu's serpent on it.
I'm not well versed in Yoruban mythology but I do know mythology. Common trends, typical tropes. And I could sense something about these two figures that was implying something about Sam and Lara. As it turns out, granted I got this from the Wikipedia page, Lisa is actually a god and husband of Mawu. Sometimes they even combine to one being. They have multiple kids together.
I may be reaching but to have samlara retrieve the symbols of two deities, and use those to grant passage to a tomb? And to call both deities goddesses? And they are like super married? Seems kinda gay, ngl
Edit: also the fact that Sam, literally descended from a sun goddess, was connected to the moon here, it's something
