Hoppy New Year: True frogs are what you'd see if you looked up "frog" in the dictionary. They're found worldwide (except Antarctica) occupying habitats near water.

These frogs often survive harsh winter conditions by freezing solid, and then thwing out in Spring.
They are the most northerly amphibian in the Americas, rangining in far northern Alaska and Canada.

Found an old photo from when I lived on the farm. Dirt basement that sometimes got water collected in it made for an interesting chore of relocate the frogs in the basement back outside. Say hello to the many patterns of the wood frog (Lithobates sylvaticus).
Because this makes sense.
