ok, very VERY vague allusion to a spoiler for furukaza in m28 but:

Furuya's life is a lonely one in many ways, first for having lost everyone who knew him as the pre-NPA furuya rei, secondly for being in a position where he simply cannot create new genuine connections as himself. even when he is surrounded by people, there is always a part of himself he keeps behind a fortress, which is lonely. i already found it heart-trending that kazami exists, as someone battling alongside him with relentless faith and loyalty, even without understanding everything that lies behind that fortress. I never expected that canon would one day give us a kazami who actually seeks to know those hidden parts of furuya that he doesn't know about, those parts that make him fragile; that kazami would not only be someone who is his companion, but would one day take the initiative to truly see furuya in his entirety. is this not fanfiction? what is this? T0T this is true love, damn it
