So my husband signed a contract today for the chapter he's written for a book on Jim Henson and Philosophy (one of those sort of mainstream, sort of academic books). Believe me I'll be plugging the hell out of it when it comes out.
But once again, husband has his poetry and academic papers published by reputable journals and presses and I write gay porn based on fictional t.v. characters for the AO3 and Tumblr communities.
He is just as proud of my hit and reblog counts as I am of seeing his stuff in bookstores.
Respect Its a sort of attitude That shows your grattitude To another who hasnt once baffled you Theyve shown you their life with open arms And always do whatever they gotta do If you needed a hand they will always reach out No matter the task They never whine or even pout But thats a fantasy Honestly not a piece of walking meat on this earth Can romance me their kindness Because all they do is make it look fancy When they make their hands free They expect equal payment Some kind of friend you are I guess thats just for entertainment But this is reality I just hate how that shackles me Maybe its time to see the loopholes and finally reach for our fantasies Respect should be earned Not a candle allowed to burn Maybe this world would be better When respect finally takes a true turn
Ray Allen
Ray Allen joined the Heat for the same reason why he joined the Celtics.. To win (another) championship. So what if he left Boston to join the team that beat us? You know what they say, if you can't beat them, join them. And I still respect him no matter what team he is on, so everybody stop talking shit about him because a couple of weeks ago, you were probably praising him.
