And it’s not just from me.” Sal gave him a smile, before sliding the card across the table, signed by both herself, her mother and father, “Honestly it was partly my dad’s idea. He had gone to a medical conference a few months back and saw the bag. Then mom checked to see if her teaching discount still applied even though she was retired and we got you some books.”

She pushed the bag towards him again, “You’re going to be a doctor. Humans, animals, it’s still a doctor, and you’re gonna do great.”

“Oh boy…” Scott ran his hands down his face after staring out of the window. The thunderstorm had simply grown in ferocity and Scott McCall had a disgruntled Peter Hale still lingering in his living room. Oh, he was going to regret this. Wandering from the kitchen and into the living room, Scott lingered for a moment before finally allowing the words to slip from his lips. “You can stay. But as soon as this storm passes, you are out of here.” Scott was more than certain that his mother wasn’t going to appreciate finding Peter Hale in her house.

Peter chuckled a bit as he crossed his arms, his blue eyes never leaving that of Scott’s. The young man may be a True Alpha, but that did not mean he had to submit to the other. However, he was going to abide whatever rules McCall was going to put down... for now anyway. “It’s not like there is anything worth staying for here to begin with,” the older wolf remarked as he glanced around. “But where are my manners... Thank you for allowing me into your den, your home.” He then glanced at his own wet form before looked back at Scott. “Maybe I can have use of a towel or two? Unless you want me to drip all over your floor.”

Mistaken Soulmates ||Closed||

It was common knowledge that everyone had a soulmate. You just had to wait until you were 18 to find them. It was a big deal, everyone couldn’t wait to get there mark, there tattoo, there permanent proclamation of love. Stiles was just glad there were no needles involved and the whole thing sort of just happened organically. Scott, who happened to be Stiles’ long time best friend was a couple months older. So on his 18th birthday the two excitedly awaited what would happen and marveled when two thick black bands wound there way around his arm.

“Dude that’s sick! Your lucky it’s awesome looking. Wouldn’t it suck to get like a daisy… or something resembling a dick. I don’t know, do you think that could happen?” They laughed and marveled at Scott’s new tattoo for a little while longer until getting over it and playing video games the rest of the night. When Stiles celebrated his 18th birthday he unfortunately wasn’t with his best friend. His Dad wanted to take him out for dinner so he promised they’d catch up the next morning. Everything was great until Stiles woke up the next morning with the same two black bands around his arm. “No fucking way….” he said to himself and immediately threw clothes on and headed to his friends.

“SCOTT OPEN THE DOOR MAN. OPEN THE DOOR. WE HAVE A HUGE PROBLEM HERE BUDDY…” he shouted banging on his friends front door. When Scott finally answered he pulled his arm out of his hoodie sleeve revealing the tattoo. “There’s got to be some sort of mistake here right?”

“Stiles… I don’t think that jeep of yours is going to keep all that rain water out if you leave now. Have you seen out there?” Scott returned as Stiles was throwing his jacket on over his shoulders, ready to leave. “You know you can just stay the night? Make it an extended gaming session?” Scott offered, concerned his friends jeep might actually become a boat rather than a roadworthy vehicle.

Stiles sighed, looking out the window at the torrential downpour. It had been so long since the last rain, that the sheets were coming down and causing a flash flood. “Dude, I know,” he said, in reference to the rain and the offer to stay. “I just really thought I was going to make it out of here before it started to get this bad,” he said, shaking his head but sighing. “I’m gonna have to borrow some clothes tomorrow, probably.”

“don’t look at me like that. like i’m some broken toy.” theo was avoiding scott’s gaze, but he could feel the other’s eyes on him anyway. the chimera hadn’t wanted to be in that situation, had hoped scott would just stay away from him and let him die here. right where it had all started, in the dread doctors’ lair. 

he felt the mercury dripping from his nose again, and wiped it away. last night he’d barely slept, ended up coughing the mercury. his body was shutting down, and he could feel it, was barely strong enough to stand more than a minute. “you’ll be rid of me soon, no worries.” he’d wanted to keep this a secret, but liam had found out and then told scott, against theo’s will. wouldn’t it just have been so much easier if they had just found his body down here one day, and that’s it? or even better, completely forgotten that he existed and left his body to rot.

     “we’ve had a nice long run, but i think it’s time this relationship come to an end.”   he sounds completely serious, looks it too, but he’s not moving from the seat that he had dramatically plopped into half an hour ago.   “i can’t believe you still haven’t watched those movies, scott. i thought you loved me.”
