Without a doubt, Makoto’s initial experiences within Stella City have been curious. The means of arriving here, along with the large number of sheep that were present were dubious all on their own. Pair that up with a few strange encounters with some of the locals, as well as the realization that the people he’s put his life on the line for couldn’t remember him, and you’d have the perfect recipe for a demoralized young man.
Thankfully, he is a person that manages to set himself back on track quickly enough. Various thoughts still come back to haunt him at times, provided that a reminder is given, but distractions come up as well.
In this case, he’s once more gaining confirmation over how strange and diverse the population in the city was. Makoto’s not a person that’s quick to judge, really -- it’s a personal observation, rather than an intention to come off as being rude. He doesn’t fall short when it comes to being polite and well-mannered (really, his parents have taught him well) but that doesn’t stop him from letting his eyes linger a little longer than necessary on the form of another.
