The festivities are underway but there’s one problem. What do you give to people in post-apocalyptia? What gifts do your characters typically give?
For Maxie, he gives practical gifts that serve a purpose. If he’s making a gift for a special someone, he will often tailor it completely to them, to their specific quirks and needs, along with making it last a long time.
For Maksim, he tends to give gifts of food. He leaves most of his gifting until the day, then presents his recipients each with a batch of kozulya, traditional Russian Christmas cookies. Or as close as he can get to them in this environment.
For Trunks, he tends not to give gifts often but he will gift specially crafted weapons to loyal members of his raider clan.
For Everett, he tends to give specially recorded holotapes containing a little message to those he’s close to.
30. Do they flirt often? How easily do they fall in love?
Maxie:
He’s known to flirt a fair bit but he’s not the sort to readily fall in love. It does take some perseverance and patience but he is certainly capable of love. It often takes a fair amount of time for him to trust someone enough for him to love them but once he loves someone, he loves them unconditionally and passionately.
Maxence: He’s a terrible flirt and even worse with love. He doesn’t easily fall in love but this is usually because he gets horribly embarrassed about it. Nonetheless, he will eventually grow to love someone.
Amanda: She’s not one to flirt very often, considering that she’s not really that interested in a relationship. Thus, it’s not easy for her to fall in love. But when she does, she’s does dote on her lover a lot.
Maksim: He’s more likely to fight than flirt but he is known to flirt a fair bit. And he’s also a very passionate lover, though he does find it difficult at times due to how hard it is to let go of his late wife’s memory. Pre-war he was a wicked flirt.
Trunks: Flirting? Absolutely. Love? He’ll pretend for as long as it suits him and he has no shame in leaving a trail of broken hearts everywhere.
31. What’s their love life like? Are they interested in anyone or in a relationship?
Maxie: At present (certainly on Twitter at least!) he is happily in love with Matsu (in one verse) and Maxwell (in another verse) and he hasn’t looked back since (Both my twin in sin’s characters XD). In solo terms, he has courted Rose of Sharon Cassidy and also been with Arcade Gannon.
Maxence: He has no real love life to speak of but he has an interest in his sister which he keeps rather hidden.
Amanda: She has an interest in her brother that she keeps on the down low about.
Maksim: Pre-war, he was happily in love with his wife Nora, and they had a polyamorous relationship with several mutual friends. Post-war, in solo, he’s courted Nick Valentine and Paladin Danse. On Twitter he’s taken an interest in Leonard Machovska, and it’s not just his satire that Maksim likes.
Trunks: Love life? Only when it suits him.
32. Do they prefer to solve things diplomatically or using violence?
Maxie: Depends on the situation, Though he tends to be somewhat more diplomatic.
Maxence: Violence all the way, only going the diplomatic route if he gets something good at the end.
Amanda: Diplomatic. Violence for her is a last resort.
Maksim: Varies, but tends towards violence at times.
Trunks: Violent as fuck.
33. What is their combat style? What range do they prefer? Do they sneak?
Maxie: He’s more for guns. He goes for mid- to long-range, and he does often sneak when he’s going long-range. It’s rare he gets up close and personal but he’s certainly not afraid to get his claws in when the situation calls for it.
Maxence: Close-range guns. He’s got a particular fondness for shotguns. He sneaks when it comes to larger enemies.
Amanda: Long-range guns. She tends to sneak a lot to catch her enemies off guard.
Maksim: Close melee range preferred, but he does like big guns too. He rarely sneaks to attack.
Trunks: Cause as much damage as possible and don’t sneak about. Very unsubtle.
34. What weapon(s) do they always carry with them?
Maxie: His scoped .44 Magnum which has been heavily modified to his liking. He also carries a serrated combat knife that he keeps hidden.
Maxence: Combat shotgun.
Amanda: A slightly modded .308 sniper rifle.
Maksim: A Power Fist.
Trunks: A modded missile launcher.
35. Their most prized possession?
Maxie: If he had to choose, it would be his scoped .44 Magnum.
Maxence: An old BB gun that his father gave to him on his tenth birthday.
Amanda: A ring that her late mother always wore.
Maksim: An old photograph of himself, Nora and Shaun when they were still a family.
Trunks: He doesn’t have one.
36. Their thoughts on power armor?
Maxie: ‘Why do they only make it for completely human people?’
Maxence: ‘Walking tin cans.’
Amanda: ‘Good protection for the wasteland.’
Maksim: ‘Is it just me or are these suits designed for giants?’ (He’s a little bit on the short side for power armour!)
Trunks: ‘I need more of it.’
37.Favorite armor/ outfit?
Maxie: Salvaged raider armour (especially the painspike/blastmaster armours). Or leather.
Maxence: The Tunnel Snakes jacket that he was given by Butch DeLoria.
Amanda: Raider armour (sadist armour usually) or anything that shows her cleavage.
Maksim: Military fatigues or leather.
Trunks: Heavy metal armour.
38. How’s their aim? Do their hands shake while pointing a gun?
Maxie: Very good aim. His hands only shake when he’s under pressure.
Maxence: Slightly shaky.
Amanda: Very shaky when using close-range guns. Otherwise she’s mostly fine.
Maksim: He’s a good shot given his miltary training.
Trunks: He doesn’t shake at all when aiming.
39.What are their thoughts on having to kill on a daily bases in order to survive? Does it take a toll on them? Or do they shake it off rather easily?
Maxie: He can usually shake it off for a while. But if his bestial side forces him to kill then he becomes very shaken.
Maxence: It got easier to shake it off with time.
Amanda: It does take a toll on her but less so when she has to kill out of necessity.
Maksim: He keeps it well-hidden. Military conditioning meant he’s able to handle it better than most.
Trunks: He enjoys killing people and gets a thrill out of it.
40.Thoughts on death if any? (ex. Fear it, accept it)
Maxie: He doesn’t really fear death unless he’s in love with someone, then he’s afraid to die and leave them alone.
Maxence: Some deaths are necessary and some aren’t.
Amanda: She does fear death on occasion.
Maksim: He hates to think about it but he does accept that it is a way of life in the wastes.
Trunks: He likes causing death. Not so much dying himself.
