This is kind of a more open-ended question but can we get some more info about your TTAO AU? Like world building, character info, etc etc
HOLY CRAP OMGOMGOMG THIS IS THE FIRST TIME ANYONE HAS INTERACTED WITH THIS AU LET ALONE SENT AN ASK ABOUT IT!! AAAAHHHHHH—
OKAY, OKAY SO, this AU is the first ROTTMNT AU i ever made!! Back when i first saw TMNT and discovered the fandom, which- oh wow i didnt even notice its finally been a year since i got into it XD
I hyperfixated hard, but i was still currently hyperfixated with a Closed Species called Oiraons that ive been in for years now, and they ended up accidentally combining one day and that snowballed into this TTAO AU i have now :D
TTAO stands for The TMNT As Oiraons because i cant think of a fitting name for it. BUT, what IS an Oiraon?? Basically giant horse sized 4 legged mutant birds who are the dominant species on their planet (humans dont exist), you can read all about them at @oiraon-nest or the official Oiraon Website here! Also, i dont own the species.
A crash course about the world, because its key to even understanding how this AU works. Oiraons have primitive knowledge about pretty much everything, they dont have glass or metals or machinery or technology. They often live in huts and tents and hunt for their food, which they can cook because thankfully they at least know how to make fire.
Theres 5 different "biomes" of oiraon, theyre like categories based on where that raon came from, like breeds of raon. Theres Arctic, Mountain, Water, Desert and Forest. Each biome correlates to what anatomical traits, size, abilities that raon has!
All oiraons live in family groups called "tribes", usually made up of relatives or friends or random strays that have been accepted.
SO, because i love ROTTMNT and Oiraons, i combined them to get the best of both worlds >:) this AU is just a fun side hobby i work on in the background with 0 responsibilities, purely for fun!! Its also probably my most detailed AU ever.

Almost everyone has Oiraon-esque names because way back then i felt too embarrassed to let everyone know i was an obvious ninja turtle nerd. And giving them different names is really fun <3

I plan to add literally everyone i can think of as an Oiraon character to this AU! Like CJ, Cassandra, Draxum, Splinter, etc. But designing them is time consuming so i work at a very slow pace.
ALL of the brothers are unrelated, from different families and origins, this AU is a MASSIVE found family situation where they all somehow end up meeting and becoming bros for life.
Ruaidhri: His nickname is Ru or Ruai and hes an Arctic raon. Hes still the oldest brother. Seems scary and intimidating but is actually a massive softy!! Hes a hired mercenary and a Beast Master (basically an animal whisperer).
For most of his life he grew up on his own, but he did meet a friend down the line, someone who isnt around anymore, someone he never talks about.
April: I kept her original name, since it still fit really well into this world. Shes also a water raon. I dont have much of a story thought up for her yet, but she grew up with Morado.
Morado: Nicknamed Mora most of the time, will bite you if you try to call him Momo. Hes a Water raon!! LOVES BOTANTY, and plants, and engineering, and inventing, hes incredibly intelligent for an oiraon, and hes also an Artisan.
Hes the second oldest brother, but people still joke that hes the same age as Tzaoul. He grew up with April as his neighbour, they both live in the same area.
Tzaoul (link N/A): THE MAIN BLORBO!!! Back when Leo was my original favourite, i hyperfocused on him >:) Hes nicknamed Zee and pretty much everyone calls him that. Hes a Forest raon.
He lives and works in a travelling entertainment troupe. He is extremely good at his job, he does stunts, displays, tricks etc and he LOVES the spotlight. Outside of his career, he usually wears a cloak to hide is very unusual traits! Hes not embarrassed by his looks (anymore) he hides them to make the reveal during his stunts/displays more dramatic and suspenseful!
Unusual traits you ask? He has 8 legs (from a curse) that he used to be very self conscious about. Raon gods exist and i had to give him an angsty backstory that involved being cursed by a god who brought him back to life <3
He is very skilled (mostly attributed to his lucky natural talent) at combat, he favors handy, sharp and throwable weapons, hes almost like a raon ninja. Aside from that, he is the king of nicknaming everything, thats His Thing. Along with making allot of really bad arm puns (i have a whole list of puns for him).
Anatolius: Hes a lil Desert raon, often Nicknamed Anato, and Zee nicknamed him Ant. He only lets his family call him Ant, anyone else who uses it loses their kneecaps.
As an artisan, Anato specialises in apparel (mostly involving fabrics) and painting! As a side career he often dyes feathers, it's a commodity and slowly becoming more popular with how colourful and appealing his work is.
Despite his sweet and colourful appearance, he's skilled, quick and strong enough to fight and/or defend himself with lethal accuracy. Unless outnumbered, anyone unlucky enough to pick a fight with him will quickly learn that his agility, speed and surprising strength make up for his small size and unthreatening appearance. Growing up in the desert, it's survival of the fittest and he learnt not just how to survive, but thrive and make the most of the harsh environment.
Anato is knowledgeable about the darker side of Nyads career and hobbies, hes been taught excessive knowledge about poisons and weapons and trade secrets. Hes not only an Artisan apprentice, but also Nyads successor.
Nyad: Shes a Water x Desert hybrid. Looks younger than she seems, smaller more compact build than the average water raon. She inherited the desert biome size, but is still on the shorter end of the scale. Despite that, shes an incredibly tough cookie.
Shes an assassin and mercenary for hire, but that career stays on the downlow and not many people know about it. Everyone knows her as a travelling Artisan, and someone who is very skilled at her craft.
Anatolius is a little gremlin that attached himself to her against her will, she slowly softened up to him when she noticed his creative cunning and ability to have survived so long in the cutthroat desert community, despite his weaknesses. Anato sees Nyad as his only parental figure, but Nyad wont let herself admit or acknowledge that she might feel the same way. She eventually and begrudgingly let him cling to her when he showed admirable promise in the Artisan crafts, and took him on as an apprentice.
She is a very fierce, has a ride or die attitude, can and will fight god and win if she wanted to /j. Shes the absolute wildcard that i let run free and do whatever she wants.
Sirje: Mountain raon! Shes a travelling merchant/trader. She has a (photographic) excellent memory! Which she puts to good use instinctively memorizing the landscape during her travels, she can always find her way back if shes been there before.
Sirje is large/tall for an Oiraon, and her wingspan is massive! Which is great because she is constantly travelling and she has allot of strength to carry her bags and wears, and stamina to fly for long distances. Its possible for Sirje to carry some of the smaller raons on her back as a form of transportation, she can also carry one average sized raon for a considerable distance.
Sirje is Zees unofficial Cool Aunt figure who wants absolutely nothing to do with Zee, but cant seem to get rid of him. He drives her crazy with his enthusiasm and attention, but she has a very well hidden soft spot for him that no one has seen yet.

The rest of the characters are still undeveloped and are only intended to exist off to the side. Niyx is Nyads love interest, they have a terrible relationship and somehow havent killed each other, but always end up coming back together after they forgive each other. Esen is Zees crush, hes got it down bad for her and would do so many dumb things to win her over, but she isnt that interested in him and she keeps leaving him hanging XD
This AU by far is my number 1 favourite and has SO MUCH MORE LORE AND EFFORT AND STORY, but no one has ever really paid attention to it which i find really funny. Thats also my fault no one knows about it because i dont ever really "advertise" it, Oiraon lore is complicated and too hard to explain to someone in a short message, so i havent even bothered.
Ive covered the bare minimum when i talked to you about the main characters, theres literal essays in my head about their backstories and how they meet and what they do!! You could ask just 1 thing about any of them and i would genuinely give you an essay infodump about them /j
