The weather had kept her inside, not wanting to risk getting caught out in the seemingly non-stop rain that had been going all day. Between that and the cold, she'd spent the day curled up in comfy clothes, forcing herself to enjoy a relaxing day instead of throwing herself into something anything to keep herself busy.

Maybe that was why it caught her by surprise to hear someone ringing her doorbell. She tensed and then forced herself to relax as she got up, taking a moment to grab her weapon from the drawer by the door where she always kept a side arm. It was a practiced move to crack the door open, her gun by her side but out of sight as she looked to see who was there.

"Shit." The weapon was set back on the side table as she opened the door wider, hands immediately reaching out to pull Tommy inside, only letting him go for as long as it took to close and lock the door. Her mind was already racing through training on how to handle hypothermia, even as she gently pressed him to move further into her house, "Come on, bathroom. We need to get you out of these clothes, dry you off."

For a moment, her jaw clenched as she looked at him. The last person who'd said something like that to her had died in her arms and she had to admit that it made her weary of acknowledging that this thing between them was that serious. She forced herself to relax, "I know." And it scared her more than anything she'd faced on the job.

there was softness in her features that only he could truly bring out of her, if she was completely honest. something about tommy was unlike anything she had, in the best way. she couldn't put into words what he made her feel she just hoped he knew, or she could make him see somehow. there was a little smile before her fingers reached up and she brushed fingers along her neck and then up towards her blonde locks while letting out a breath, "what do you say we go out, tonight?" she asked lightly. "we could get dinner or something, my treat?" she added as slight encouragement for a yes.

Eyebrows raised as she moved so she could take a better look at where Tommy was bleeding from. "You're ridiculous." As if she hasn't done her fair share of trying to hide injuries from people, especially members of her team. But it was different. They weren't supposed to hide things like this from each other. "Let me at least make sure you're not going to bleed out before we can patch it up."

His dad was a rich industrialist and Thad was just waiting till he was old enough to take over…
