Does your existence honor life or does it deny its reality?
The projection of guilt is an attack on life, because all life is worthy. All life is sacred, which doesn’t imply that the form is sacred. An inner respect for life is important, which means that one should not squeeze life into a form that is unworthy of it’s expression. One should never impose weakness on strength or invulnerability. One should never equate spirit with anything that doesn’t add to it’s conviction of freedom. Physical existence should honor life, not punish it.
I’m always fascinated by what people think it is to value life. For some people it is to worry about things. Worry, of course, implies that one is anxious to not have a certain thing go wrong or against one’s wishes. So - one could be said to value one’s object of attachment. But it’s not really to value to cling to it or need it, is it? It’s to be dependent on it for one’s emotional and physical well-being. Being dependent implies imprisonment. One needs something and can’t get rid of that need. The spirit becomes a slave to the body, having to walk the path of meaningless determinism.
It is possible to honor life without imprisoning the self. When choice enters, freedom has entered. Everything is a choice – to clean the house or not, to move the body or not. It doesn’t matter what the choice is, the important thing is that it’s done with the purpose of freedom. One suspends judgement and is letting the choice be made, without seeing disadvantages or advantages in any of the alternatives. Knowing that all alternatives are the same, it is possible to choose from a a standpoint of liberation.
Everything is existence is the same. All choices lead to the same end. All roads merge into one eventually. Nothing stands in the way of liberation, except for illusory constructs of time and space.
