My first maternity shoot
Two weeks ago I had the opportunity to take photos for my friend’s sister who is having her second child! It was really exciting because I’ve been thinking more about what sort of specialization I want and babies and women are very dear to me. When it comes to helping tell other people’s stories, you have to be delicate. It’s always really important to me to make sure everyone I work with feels comfortable. I know it can be really awkward being in front of a camera especially when there are a bunch of people around. I really just enjoy talking to my clients and working them through the shoot. By the end of the day, I know my clients feel much more comfortable and are more willing to be themselves which makes for much better photographic stories!
The shoot happened on Easter morning and even though it was raining at first, what other day could have been better than Easter Sunday to celebrate a new life? Here are some of my favorite photos from the day.
