The Lord really brought on a strong conviction this morning. A loving reminder of what I really need to be focusing on today, in this season,& moving forward. I admit I’ve allowed myself to get sucked into the mess & while I am anchored in Him,my thoughts & emotions run rampant. I’ve fallen short & I’ve been consumed & lost sight of what & most importantly Who truly matters. Yes, I will continue to stand firm in faith & uphold my values, share His truth & love, & there will be opposition regardless but my focus needs to be on Him. I’m thankful for the boldness & confidence He’s planted within me but I cannot continue to allow what’s currently going on to become my god. As I’ve been inspired and even more motivated anytime someone has told me that they admire me for being brave etc., it made me feel like I was doing something right but I allowed it to fuel me in the wrong direction. I got a little too empowered and stopped relying on the power of the Holy Spirit to guide me. I’m convicted & yet humbled that He loves me enough to reel me back in & remind me of who I am. I can maintain all the things I believe in, however, He needs to be at the forefront and be my driving force...not my emotions & opinion(s), or the current events. I will keep standing up for Christ & that will be my mission & primary goal, even if I’m hated for it despite being loving. Quite frankly, I don’t care for popularity anymore. Thank God His mercies are new every morning/every day & we can start over even in the next moment! The beauty of His goodness and grace.
