Fellowes does tend to treat his characters like dolls in a dollhouse, which means motivations shift or get dropped like a hot potato time and time again in order to force characters into scenes and situations that don’t quite make a lot of sense.

You know what I don't understand about people in this fandom, particularly those that ship the Big 4? If they don't experience the bad parts, it apparently doesn't exist. Sometimes, I think they do experience it, but because of cognitive dissonance and personal biases, they don't recognize that it's bad or even contribute to it. All you have to do is go onto any large confession blog and the unpopular opinions have tons of comments with random people insulting the OP because of their OPINION.
