I was really homesick and you know how I dealt with it? Run away to Tokyo to see my friends.

It was actually the best trip ever, I took the night bus with the help of my friend who did the bookings and showed me.

It took around 6-7 hours to get to Shinjuku station and it wasn't so bad. The journey was much more comfortable than a plane despite the frequent stops for toilet breaks since there's no toilet on the bus. The total cost of the night bus was around 8,500yen going and then 5000yen back. I was a bit more picky with the different buses and seats so it was more expensive but next time i'm going to go for the cheaper options!! I stayed at my friend's flat and one night at my cousin's so it did help me save hotel money 😭🌸

Overall I think I really needed this trip to help me cope emotionally since there was so much stress, homesickness.
