It was supposed to be her last mission and she just never came home and was ultimately listed as MIA and presumed dead.

Sakumo meeting a young silver haired boy (he calls himself a boy when Sakumo misgebders him, so he is a boy) who looks an awe full lot like him but is wearing a Suna Jonin uniform at the age of 11.
