The key to mindfulness is that we hold the things we observe with a posture of nonjudgmental awareness, simply noticing what is in our awareness rather than reacting to it.

In case no one told you today. You are loved. You matter. Right now...right here. Wherever and however you are...you are worthy of love and good things. You don’t have to get anything together. You don’t have to have better mental, physical and emotional health. You are a precious gift the world needs right here in your mess. You are the beloved and nothing and no one can’t change that. Not even you darlings...not even you hold that kind of power. And since I’m having a day of not feeling enough on so many levels. This is me #preachingtomyownheart You are valid. In a world that tells you to get better before you deserve love. To do more...you can sit right here in all you’ve wrecked and all that’s been wrecked around you and in the middle of that mess you are worthy of love. Your hurt and experiences that’s left you more scared and scarred then you know how to deal with. They matter. But they are not all you are. You are light and dark. You are body, soul and spirit. You are not a thing made solely of shadows and one day you will see it. And it will feel like sunlight in your veins. And you will realize how grateful you are that even in the dark...even in the dark you let love in. Because you were always always worth it. 💞 “
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” Psalm 139:14
The process of blooming is as valuable as the flower it produces.

Because no matter how hard we try, we can’t hate or shame ourselves into change. Only love can move us toward true growth.

...beauty is an invitation and a resource to each of us. When we hunt for beauty, we learn to pay attention. We keep our eyes open for goodness and for cracks of light.

We are made for relationship—not just with others but also with ourselves.

“When Jesus lamented with His friends, He was allowing them to process their emotions. As He joined them in grief, He had to know that experiencing their feelings was allowing them to tap into their body‘s natural ability to integrate difficult experiences. As the Creator of their neurobiological structures, I suspect He even recognized that their limbic systems needed to move through the emotions they were feeling so the pain didn’t become a form of trauma. Notice that this God-in-flesh did not rush Mary and Martha along but instead provided empathy and patience. This is a model for us as we seek to pay compassionate attention to our own experiences.” Aundi Kolber. Try Softer.
