A little exchange from the latest episode of the trypod [(ep 106) Eugene controls the podcast- chaotic] that I thought was absolutely adorable

Zach: Eugene's going to be gone from the try guys for a couple months, let's do a quick q&a- do you hate us? Are you leaving because you hate us

Eugene: um, no

Zach: kay

Eugene: you know I should actually bring this up. Um, sometimes there's a misconception that I dislike the other guys. You'll see it sometimes when I have this look on my face where I just wanna die- one, that's sometimes my face

Keith: resting wanna die face

Eugene: yeah (laughs) I admit there are videos where I just look like I don't wanna be there and I will say 99% of the time it's actually because of these projects I'm leaving to work on. Its not because I don't like, like people I'm with, its because I'm so sleepy from having to balance working on these external projects, you know, pulling all nighters whatever that I come in and- they know (points to the other guys), like I'll just be pissy.

So I think, in fact, I like the guys too much. So it's the opposite. You know what I mean? That's, that's the truth. That's the scalding hot tea that you just witnessed.

Idk man. Like. Obviously we know he loves them & they are genuinely his friends. But something about Eugene going out of his way to say that he likes the guys too much just warms my heart.

Eugene is taking a break from all try guys' videos to work on some personal projects for the next several months. On one hand I can't wait to see what he does. on the other hand "For the next several months" has me feeling TheBigSad™

On the bright side, the latest episode of the trypod is entirely controlled by Eugene. So extreme chaos for an hour, 4 minutes And 36 seconds. That's something to look forward to fully watching & then someday rewatching :D

Ok what the hecckk! apparently he's working on projects that have "been in development since he was in college" and projects that "have always been pressing & have now come to a point where he can no longer healthily balance try guys' work with honoring them"

And Ned just said that it's a lot of writing work

Is he writing a book perhaps?? A screenplay??? Script????? Is it Gay??? Gay??? God, I hope it's gay?? All his work is so brilliant, he's such a creative and talented person, I can't wait to see what he's been working on!!!
