Putting on his long brown coat, the Doctor walked out of the TARDIS door and headed for the small cafe he knew Alexa would be sitting there, drinking from a cup and flipping pages from an old book.  She was doing it for years...  The first time he couldn't find her, he went to visit her aunt and she told him. Before he left he made her promise to not tell her that year by year he was visiting her.  Looking after her without her even knowing it. 

When he reached the street he stayed on the other side of the road and bend into a small dark alley opposite the restaurant.  He smiled when he saw the blonde woman sitting exactly like he had imagined on a barstool facing the giant window.  Dangerous...he just had to look up from her book and she would see him... but even with that risk he stayed there for about a minute and then nodded slightly and walked out, back to the street.
